I am finally looking at lift kits and was just going to do the Mopar 2 inch lift with 35's. I heard a lot of good things at first, but have been seeing a lot of bad things now. Is it a bad kit? I have a Gladiator Rubicon with some mods already so I don't need a full kit, just really shocks and springs. I already have a Synergi Front Track bar, Terreflex Alpine Adjustable Control Arms and a Fox Racing 2.0 Steering Stablizer. Are there better options for me? It's a Daily driver keep in mind, I do go offroad several times a year mainly in PA (I am in NJ)

I don't think its a bad kit, its basic springs, shocks, and some control arms you won't use. A bit pricey for what it is IMO. With what you have now, you could get some springs from teraflex/clayton/etc, add some new longer shocks, longer sway bar end links, and be set with a solid suspension without breaking the bank.

You already got the extras. Just need springs and shocks. Ball park prices. Clayton springs will run you about $289 per set. 4 Bilstein 5100 shocks is $440. Then pick your sway bar end links. I would recommend a rear track bar too.

If you want to use any of the parts from the Mopar kit, just download the installation instructions. It lists every part in the kit. Then, just order the parts you need, like the springs and end links. I bought all the hardware, minus the shocks, for under $600. For shocks, I went with Falcon adjustables.

The only thing bad about it is the price tag. Unless you are absolutely dead set on having the Mopar sticker on your parts, you can find equal or better parts for way less money.

I have the Mopar lift and 35's on my Rubicon. The lift rides really nice. Better then stock I think. But my 35's are a soft compound too. If you go with a 2" lift then you might as well get 37's. I regret not getting them and I plan to get them once I need new tires.

Damn nice! I will probably do this and how do you like the Falcon shocks?

Other kits will break warranty though right? I was mainly doing the Mopar for keeping my 7Year 100k max warranty as well.

No, I don't think so.

The Falcon shocks are so nice. I can definitely feel the improvement. All settings are much better than the Fox shocks that came on the Rubi. I know some like the soft feel of Fox shocks, but I really like the Falcons (SP2 3.3). One thing of note on the Mopar front springs- I still used a Teraflex leveling spacer (1") to get some of the rake out. I have a steel bumper and winch.

For the Falcon SP2 3.3, the best deal I found was through Clayton. I messaged them for a discount code (veteran). Shipping was free and no tax, so the set ended up less than $1800 to my door within a couple days.

This is what I bought for the Mopar parts. Obviously, you won't need most of them. The parts that were not available from BAM may very well be available now. I bought aftermarket bumpstops from eBay. I'm not a hardcore wheeler, so this kit works just fine for me. It drives and handles fantastic. The LCAs only resulted in 5 deg of caster, but it drives and tracks straight. Handles tight, with no wobble or vibration.

No. The only way they can deny a warranty claim is by showing causality. If you use a Rough Country lift and get death wobble, you're on your own. But if your AC stops working, they can't point to the lift and void your whole warranty - it doesn't work like that.

Stick to brands with good reputations (Teraflex, Clayton, Quadratec, AEV, etc), torque things to the specs they say to, and you'll be fine.

What are you looking to spend? On the low end go with Rustys advice get some springs and shocks. On the high/expensive end maybe look at the streetable kits that come with geometry brackets and such as those make a big difference in ride quality.

I wouldn't say it's a bad kit. I was actually dead set on it for the longest until Mopar started continously jacking the price up. Way too over-priced for what comes with it. Or should I say doesn't. I get inflation, etc. But it went from around $1400 to $2000 not including install which dealers also love to rape you with prices on. Doesn't even come with any kind of track bars.

Mopar loves to push the fact that it's a "warranty lift" When that doesn't justify the price especially when most all dealers blame problems on anything that isn't factory anyways.

Much better lift options out there. I went the AEV route. For now I'm just on the 2" AEV spacer lift. But I may get the AEV Dualsport, which is amazing I've seen and heard. Especially the geo correction brackets it includes. Clayton is a bit more pricey but also a great option.

This will be dealer dependent. They could simply say your control arms or trackbar are a problem and screw you even with the other Mopar parts. Tough call.
