People flock to forums to complain about or look for info about issues, and it makes it look like that particular vehicle is nothing but issues. No one comes to forums to talk about everything thats good. With pages of issues to read about, Jeep marking down Gladiators up to 13K. Are Jeep Gladiators worth having?
Congratulations on the new ride! And welcome to the forumI'm a new Gladiator owner, bought it just about a month ago. I am a Jeeper at heart and need a pickup to haul things. Stepped down from a 2500 Cummins that was built quite a bit. Not going to say I don't miss the power, but the Gladiator has been great thus far.
It feels like a Jeep, rides a tad better than a Jeep (due to longer wheelbase and control arms) and appears to meet the utility part of what I need in my life. Looking forward to summer when the top can and doors can come off too.
My $.02

I feel like dating even one supermodel would be a lot of headaches, expenses and logistical complexitiesNot sure its a good vehicle if you don't plan on wheeling or taking the top and doors off on a regular basis. At 53 years of age I have owned a lot of vehicles. Currently 2 of them are a JL Wrangler and a JT Gladiator. They have been nothing but trouble whether its the paint, engine, electronics, clutch, dealerships, you name it. I'd quantify it as an abject disaster. That being said the vehicles are unstoppable off road and the ability to easily remove the doors and roof, upgrade them, modify them and completely customize them really do make them a unique pleasure to own, despite Stellantis's best efforts. Its like dating 5 supermodels at the same time; sure, there are a lot of headaches, expenses and logistical complexities but sweet jesus it would be well worth the trouble.
ANY enthusiast forum will have pages of issues, it’s sort of the point in crowd sourcing information. Consider that in various permutations there have been 10M+ 3.6 v6 built since the early 10’s. A decade of production coupled with huge volume mean that nearly every issue is known. Contrast to a new design turbo with much more limited production so far, most of the issues haven’t manifested. With pages of issues to read about, Jeep marking down Gladiators up to 13K. I'm an oak-I suppose that’s a bit existential.
Is anything really worth having?
And why do we exist?
And if you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?
