With pages of issues to read about, Jeep marking down Gladiators up to 13K. Are Jeep Gladiators worth having?
People flock to forums to complain about or look for info about issues, and it makes it look like that particular vehicle is nothing but issues. No one comes to forums to talk about everything thats good.

My understanding with price drops is two fold, 1) because the new Stellantis heads stated prices are too high and putting vehicles into price markets they shouldn't be in, and 2) to combat inflation and a drop in market share in the U.S and boost sales.

I see this as new leadership trying to do right by the people and the business, and fix the disaster previous leadership left behind.

Every vehicle has issues so that doesn't disqualify the Gladiator. Jeep kept increasing prices on these vehicles and then wondered why they sat on the lot. When I priced my 2021 against a 2024 earlier last year the price increase and dealer mark-ups made it not worth trading in. With that said, would I buy another Gladiator, heck yeah!

I'm a new Gladiator owner, bought it just about a month ago. I am a Jeeper at heart and need a pickup to haul things. Stepped down from a 2500 Cummins that was built quite a bit. Not going to say I don't miss the power, but the Gladiator has been great thus far.

It feels like a Jeep, rides a tad better than a Jeep (due to longer wheelbase and control arms) and appears to meet the utility part of what I need in my life. Looking forward to summer when the top can and doors can come off too. :)

My $.02

Best mid-size truck on the market and the most fun you will have in a truck hands down.
Most capable and customizable truck in the world. Has a good reliable V6 engine that is easy to maintain and replacement cost is low.You can have this truck forever. So yeah its worth it.

Not sure its a good vehicle if you don't plan on wheeling or taking the top and doors off on a regular basis. At 53 years of age I have owned a lot of vehicles. Currently 2 of them are a JL Wrangler and a JT Gladiator. They have been nothing but trouble whether its the paint, engine, electronics, clutch, dealerships, you name it. I'd quantify it as an abject disaster. That being said the vehicles are unstoppable off road and the ability to easily remove the doors and roof, upgrade them, modify them and completely customize them really do make them a unique pleasure to own, despite Stellantis's best efforts. Its like dating 5 supermodels at the same time; sure, there are a lot of headaches, expenses and logistical complexities but sweet jesus it would be well worth the trouble.

I feel like dating even one supermodel would be a lot of headaches, expenses and logistical complexities

ANY enthusiast forum will have pages of issues, it’s sort of the point in crowd sourcing information. Consider that in various permutations there have been 10M+ 3.6 v6 built since the early 10’s. A decade of production coupled with huge volume mean that nearly every issue is known. Contrast to a new design turbo with much more limited production so far, most of the issues haven’t manifested.

If your goal is that the truck just go and go without thought, not sure it’s going to beat the old Tacoma . However, if you’re of the mind that repair-ability trumps up-time, the glad is a decent choice.

As to worth having? If you legitimately take advantage of the capability, towing and bed space then it's absolutely so. If your primary use will be roaming the streets, it's probably a waste of resources unless you really dig the vibe.

I suppose that’s a bit existential.
Is anything really worth having?
And why do we exist?
And if you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?
I'm an oak-

I've tried several vehicles between my Jeeps. Yeah, they ride better, are quieter, get better MPG, have more flashy tech, etc...but, for me, bottom line is, it's a fit. I can mod it/personalize it the way i want and they always keep me looking over my shoulder when I'm walking away from it.

I've had 4 jeeps since 2012. 2 jk's and 2 jt's. Biggest issue was a pinhole sized hole in my 2014 jk radiator and a battery that only lasted 3 years.
