Here is my 2 cents worth. This forum does have a lot of negetivity at times but I am OK with that, it gives me knowledge if I incounter an issue with my 21 JTM. Just remember it’s a good place to vent and most JT’s don’t have issues or very little issues.

I love my JTM, said many times on here, it is the best vehicle I have ever owned for all the POS cars and trucks to my very high end vehicles. I have about 30k and have not had any issues that I did not anticipate, batteries… YES, but that is no big deal. No issues while overlanding or anything.

I have come to love the Jeep brand so much that we just added a 2025 Grand Cherokee to our family. My wife absolutely loves it.

Thats not a Gladiator or Jeep specific issue though. Pretty much all modern diesels use the CP4 and have the same issues. It's technically not even the CP4's fault either, it's our piss poor fuel that we get in the US.

I'm sure the pages referenced are forum pages covering dirty little details such as:

1. Aluminum corrosion
2. Aluminum steering boxes
3. Camshaft and follower issues
4. Sun visors falling out
5. ESS failures
6. Loose fuses
7. Premature battery failures
8. Clutch detonations
9. Clutch recall and software flash issues
10. Death wobble
11. Proximity door locks failing
12. Dashboard Christmas lights
13. Uconnect
14. Heated steering wheel failures
15. Limp mode
16. Hard mode
17. Bump steer
18. Steering shimmy
19. Wandering
20. I'm sure there's more

And these are just the issues that come from factory, not even the ones that can occur when you open up that first bag of Legos. But as I said don't let any of that dissuade you. I friggin love my Gladiator.

Is a Rolex worth having? Comparatively awful at telling time, and super overpriced compared to similar products. But, good luck buying one without a wait list.
If it checks the right boxes for you personally, and it’s not gonna kill you financially, then yea.
if telling time accurately is your number one concern, buy a $20 timex or a smart watch.
If absolute reliability is your primary concern, there’s an automotive Timex available for that, but it won’t give you a combined convertible, pickup, off-road experience.
And no, i’m not comparing the gladiator to a Rolex lol

I really wish I had the time to post a message to this forum every day such as "Another day of ZERO problems with my Jeep Gladiator. Call me Mr. Happy!"

But I don't. And neither do a few hundred thousand other Jeep Gladiator owners who are just like me.

But....soon as there is a problem....they'll rush to this place to ask for help or just complain (or both).

So on any of these message boards - the proportion of dissatisfied vs. satisfied owners is disproportionately skewed toward the negative. Giving the false impression that the model sucks.

I'm on the Bronco6G board as well - same story there. Go read a few pages on that forum and you'd swear....Bronco's are pieces of shit. But I'm every bit as happy with mine as I am with my Gladiator.

And I don't post daily "Call me Mr. Happy" messages there, either.

As a kid, my dream car was not a Ferrari or vette or sexy looking super car. Or muscle car or speed mobile. It was a wrangler. Then a 4 door wrangler. A lifelong fascination with military history and the ruggedness of jeeps just made me a jeep guy. When I finally almost had the means to buy one, the gladiator was announced. After years of teasing "is this the new jeep pickup???" I watched the reveal thing online live from work and I knew I had to have it. Almost 3 years later out finally made sense in my life. I'm biased, yes, 100%.
Do I ever want to own another car or truck? No freaking way. It's my Swiss-army-knife-mobile. Jack of all trades master of none. Towing, yep. Offroad, definitely. Hauling lumber or other materials, yep. Me, wife, 3 kids and 2 dogs, yep. Doors and top off, well that's 100% unique among trucks.

Is it the best there is on any of these individually? Nah. But no other truck does all of them. Worth it? Again, I know I'm biased. Worth it to me for sure.

Aside from doors off mirrors when the doors are off, my jt is stock.
Completely random strangers, different ages and demographics, driving totally different cars, at a gas stations repeatedly tell me they like my truck.

I’ll be honest with you, after owning several muscle cars and driving a few Ferraris, they’re all just about as uncomfortable as the Wrangler

But, just like the Wrangler, they’re all fun to drive for their own reasons.

Thank you for all the replies. As you see from the picture I did have one at one time. Fellow made an offer I could not refuse so I let it go. Only had for 6 months and less than 5k miles. Only issues was the rear window leak.

Looking at possibly getting another one but you never know. Once again, thanks for your time and replies.

Don't put yourself out. I would leave it for someone else who will be loyal to the brand and not sell out. Do yourself a favor and go get a Taco. It sounds like your type of vehicle.
