Jeep Chat says they will no longer give out status codes?

Checked with Jeep Chat this morning as my order has been sitting in scheduled mode for the last 4 weeks. Today they told me that they will no longer give D1, etc. status codes. Any ideas of how to tell what is the delay? The Order Tracker is cool, but, its just in limbo...

I'm surprised you were able to get a status code from them at any point. They've never provided me with anything beyond generic info. I believe contacting your dealer is the only means to get the order status codes.

I'm also surprised that they ever felt the need to screw around & share the production status codes directly with the customer after the order was placed.
They may have gotten tired of people nagging them all the time. Like that would somehow cause them to speed up the assembly process.
Would be like dealing with a bunch of impatient 6 year olds every day whining, "Are We There Yet?!!"

When I ordered my Mojave In February of last year, went in to the local dealer & put down the deposit & got it all set. They said it would be 6-8 weeks out. So figured it would arrive by late April-early May if I got lucky.
2 weeks later to the day of placing the order, they called & said they were looking out the showroom window at my new truck all prepped & ready for me to pick up. So sometimes they do come early!

Ordered 2 gladiators in the past 8 months. For neither one did Jeep Chat give out status codes. So while I can't tell you whether this is a relatively new practice or not, it's certainly not a brand new practice as OP's post seems to imply.

When I ordered the wrangler, was able to get info...first time trying to get info from Jeep Chat so was a little surprised...no worries...happy Jeeping!!!
