These teasers are great! I love how they're still in camo. You may hate me for saying this but...

plot twist: Jeep trolls us at the LA reveal with the truck still in camo.
Can we lynch someone via internet?

I'm still hoping that Jeep is really playing us and we get a 715 front end on reveal.

But given the leaked renders this seems even more implausible than before. I can't imagine Jeep going so far as to "leak" those renders just to keep up the charade.

But then again, why bother with these videos of camo trucks if there was a real leak?

Of course the simple answer is that a large corporation has momentum that is hard to stop, and they obviously had a campaign in the bag that they'll use regardless.

My 2 cents. The campaign is intended for different audiences. The "accidentally leaked" photos were for forum nerds like us and car magazine readers that have seen camo trash bags on the trucks for over a year. The short camo teaser videos were for social media folks and more of a general population audience.

Yeah, I'm not seriously expecting any big surprise on the 28th.

Dream killer.

If anyone thinks that the 'leaked' pictures were accidental...

Social media is a better tool today that any other media. Combined! Beauty too is that it's almost free.

Add in the numerous consulting companies ("who aren't technically Jeep"), that somehow obtain these "spy shots" then post them onto forums that are registered through companies that cloak the actual registrant (DomainsByProxy.com).

Then make a bunch of phony accounts up that post threads like; 'what options do you want Jeep to add to the Gladiator?". Even add details to the phony accounts like other vehicles owned that are competitors to this truck. Maybe throw in some rugged locations too.

We saw how many spy shots of the JL and JT that got progressively closer as up to the actual reveal? How many "spy shots" were at gas stations? Yet never got too close? didn't want to spoil the slow reveal.

It's advertising today.

Jeep guys driving a comofloged truck around. Passenger gets out and shoots a picture of it from across the street. Then they post them up on a few online boards. Maybe put it on a few Facebook accounts to get it trending...

Better than paying for a commercial anymore. What's the cost? Few hours of employee time... 1/100th the cost for an old school Jeep ad in print or on the tv.

Jeep isn't the only one doing this. I mean, it's a great play. I'd do the same too.

I just LOVE that it's hauling ass! There will be at least one of those things being driven hard when it finds a home!
Since they aren't coming out with a diesel at launch, I'm going to get one with the gas engine and beat the hell out of it for 2 years and then trade it in for a CRD

If you freeze the 2ond vid at 06 you have a decent picture of it. You can see the rear passenger window has a white shade and maybe white over the tail lights. The tailgate shows some detail and the side looks as shown in leaked photos

Maybe a lease would work for us, I was thinking that also

More than just the truck, I’m excited to see what jeep accessories will be available at launch. Lift kit, and the rest of the mopar accessories and how a fully decked out JT looks like they did with that green JL Rubicon and the white JL sport they revealed with it.

JT with a 3” lift and 37s would be perfect.

Plus iirc Jeep states they would be releasing their half doors in 2019 so maybe we’ll see that as well?

Jeep just confirmed on social media the November 28th reveal date for the JT with a camouflaged JT racing past the camera. Pretty cool.

First teaser

Second and longer teaser

I got a one extra spot left in my garage for a JT. Bring it on!!!!!!!

And seriously, it would make sense to keep a JL front end if they were calling it the Scrambler. But if indeed it's the Gladiator, it feels like they should evoke the original in styling.

Except some of the official press pics were already leaked here. I hardly think FCA is being cute by somehow leaking fake images.

Yeah, I don't actually believe there is a big surprise in the works. I fully expect Jeep to do what is cheaper and easier, and that's to simply make it a JL from the cab forward. Hence the wink face.

It's been a running gag I've had, coming up with plausible explanations for what we've seen/ not seen, which might support a 715 front end... which I'd love to see.

For example, that we've still only seen the bag camo, when the sticker camo (seen by now in the JL) would clearly indicate final production styling.

Obviously the more likely reason is that they're probably behind in testing, but will have a few "production" rigs for the reveal.
