If you have the inverter in your jeep for the back seat plug you can add the outlet in the bed with this parts list. It has been done and works. Another thing to note is you will need a Tazer JL Mini to activate the outlet. Here is the link to the thread where this has been done and here is the parts list.

Thanks for the parts list! I also wanted to recommend for those that are buying parts to shop around. I see there is about 20 bucks in savings for parts and shipping by going through BAM Wholesale Parts. They seem to be the cheapest when it comes to MOPAR/Jeep parts.

Which Gladiator do you have? The inverter comes standard on Overland, Rubicon, but not Sport models. With Overland, etc., you get the 115v outlet inside, pay extra for bed outlet by Cargo Management Group. With Sport models, you get outlet inside if you add 8.4 radio, in bed if you also add Cargo Management.

So the wiring harness and bed outlet cannot be used if you do not have the inverter installed.

the inverter in overland cab is like 450watts? I assume that is same for bed?

The stock inverter may not run a portable fridge depending on current draw.

There is not a way to keep the outlet on all the time. A frequently used solution is to get a portable power box (like Jackery) to plug the fridge into, and plug the power box into the bed outlet. The fridge stays on all the time, and the power box gets charged when the engine is running.

Hoping you can answer this for me. This is the portable battery and frig I have purchased.

I can not get the battery to charge from the bed outlet and I can't get the frig to run on the battery. The frig will run on the outlet but not sure how well as I am only checking to see if it will power up at this point. Any ideas? I need the battery to be able to keep frig running for periods while truck is off. Thanks for any ideas.

First thought is the battery box may be defective. Will it charge from a house outlet? Will other devices run when connected to it?
