No the loss of that particular sale was not over $50 but it wasn't a significant fee. But have seen things dropped over $50 fee (If you ever deal with South American business you would know this is quite common) No my company doesn't have an identity problem, etc as we are one of the largest providers in the world. But if you wish I work for DHL Industrial Projects Division a specialty division of the DHL company as a whole and your welcome to look up how large the company is. We did not get a chance to waive the fee the customer like many customers and international customers will not give you the opportunity. You get one shot and that is it. I also don't need to find something else to sell thank you very much I been doing it for 20 years and pretty sure my company considers me an expert at it and know what I am doing.

Uniqueness will only sell you so many trucks.
Pretty obviously it will sell all the trucks they want to, because they aren't giving them away.

Ford sells more trucks than anyone on the market and are losing money.

Letting the market determine value is how it should work. Letting the market tell you what to sell for is something entirely different.

Ok, If it wasn't the uniqueness/Jeep thing Wranglers would have never made it. If you have someone that actually considers any other small SUV (other than the discontinued Land Cruiser) as competition the Jeep would loose in their mind. When you compare comfort, options, price or mpg the Jeep will just about always loose. They don't understand/appreciate the ruggedness of a full frame solid axle 4x4. But that would not sell enough to account their popularity. More are sold just because Jeeps are "cool" or "cute", they don't know what "It's a Jeep thing" Really means. Same as Harley Davidson used to be. Gladiator is the same way, almost. It truly does not have any competition. As a mid size truck, it may loose when numbers are compared. But it is the only "current" Convertible pick up truck period, any size. And the only one with removable doors (that can easily be put back on). I have been wanting another Jeep since I sold my '79 CJ7, but I need to tow a boat....Thank You Gladiator. I miss the small size of the CJ/Wrangler when I want to head off road, but we compromise when we have to.
If there are enough people that want a Jeep, for whatever reason, that "need" more capacity it will sell well. If those people that just want a Jeep because Jeeps are cool, stay small it might not do well.
My wife drives a F150 FX4 with the 3.5 EcoBoost, She complains about the power of my Gladiator, and says she can get a F150 for the same price. She is considering getting a Gladiator next summer just so she can go topless.
Sorry for long winded, but also
I have a co-worker, he wants a Rubicon badly because "it is the best", "Because it says Rubicon on the hood". I asked him if he knew what made a Rubicon a Rubicon. He has no idea, he just knows it's the best cause that's the one everybody wants. He would never take it off road or lock the differentials but he still wants one because it says Rubicon.

I ordered a Rubicon for the upgrades, but now I want a Mojave because the "Mojave" on the hood is cooler.

I have a JKRU that I removed Rubicon from the hood and when I get my JT, I'll remove either the Rubicon or the Mojave from its hood as well.

After a few years, the Rubicon decals on my JKU started to peel off, so I replaced them with custom decals that said "Rogue." Once my JT gets here, I'm going to replace the Rubicon decals with some new custom decals. :)

I didn't really miss it, I was more agreeing on your point as far as differences. In my local market not a ton of discounts, drive 40-50 miles to Northern Virginia and discounts are all over the place. It's kind of crazy.
It is kinda crazy here in northern virginia, atleast compared to the dealers i've reached out to across the country and what i'm seeing on the forum. I have 5 dealers here who all offered to put in custom orders on any trim at 8.5% below invoice. This is probably also contributing to to the rubicon sales, someone quoted 10k and 20k differences between rubicon and sport s. add the 7" radio group to the sport and with those discounts, the difference is like $3500. Makes it a hard decision (or not that hard) if you want anything else that Rubi has to offer. The Truck of the Year Package opens up the gap a little more now, but hopefully it gets offered for the Rubi as well.

This is actually pretty good news to me, I have been on the fence about one but may have to reconsider. Just 9 short months ago guys were paying full sticker, $62,000, for the Rubicon Launch Edition. Now with the FCA incentives and steep dealer discounts I can pick one up for $48,000 - $50,000, SWEET!!!

What incentives? Everything I've seen excludes the Rubicon?

My bad, may have to wait a little longer, the Rubicons are really piling up on the lot here in Virginia Beach!
