Just FYI, my understanding is that there is a nationwide Stop Sale on new diesel gladiators due to the nationwide recall on the high pressure fuel pump, so you will only be able to buy a used gladiator at this time.

Regarding price, I ordered a new Rubicon diesel last month and my price is $62,500 (msrp was over 70k). I don't know if they will actually build it (end of model 23s, strike, diesel engine not available on MODEL 24s), but thats the price I got quoted for a new 23 diesel Rubicon (with a lot of options). Ill just have to wait and see if it actually comes.

I paid $47K for a 2021 Gladiator Rubi with 3600 miles on it. It was loaded. BUT it was a 3.6L gasser. Now the one you are looking at has a bunch of aftermarket stuff on it that are not cheap. $55K is a decent price for this. You might be able to find a new one for a bit less than $55K if you are willing to travel but if this one is equipped the way you want it, I would say go for it. The recall should have a solution soon for the CP4 pump.

I'll add to this by saying I love my Eco-Diesel! Just got back from a 3000 mile trip and got 28 mpg (hand calculated). The dash said 31 mpg. (Sport S, stock tires)
Yes, the only weak point I have read about is the fuel pump, but I believe time will sort that out with either a real fix from Jeep, or aftermarket.
The torque is great.
When my warranty is up I'm seriously considering getting a delete kit and tune for it. There was also a video posted a year or so on here that had a diesel Gladiator with an aftermarket exhaust on it. Sounded awesome!

JTRD all the way. 2nd EcoDiesel and I haven't worried yet about a fuel pump. I also do believe a fix is available but supplies are very low. I will eventually get the recall done but I'm not terribly worried at this point. My Ram EcoDiesel was sold with 110k, now the JTRD is at about 33k. The torque of the EcoDiesel is great and I would never think about the 3.6 gasser.... the 2.0 turbo gasser is nice in the Wrangler especially in the 4xe package.

I ordered mine. List was $67,000. With discount and trade in. I paid $45,000.

Maintenance, change the fuel filter about every 10,000 miles. And Prime the shit out of the fuel system when you do.

Hey all I think ive found a Gladiator im going to pull the trigger on. I wanted some advice and tips from current owners.
I'm looking into a 2021 JTRD with 12k miles. It comes with the stinggray color with matching fenders and hardtop. Leather, heated seats, 8.4" display, premium sound, steel factory bumpers, led lighting.
As far as aftermarket it comes with 5 AEV pintler wheels with 35" Nitto Grapplers , Z automotive tazer, and a RSI smartcap Evo.
My question is if the diesel is a good reliable motor and do you guys think this is a fair deal?
Any tips or feedback would be appreciated thanks!
That's a great deal if it's a clean Jeep we sold a 21 Sport eco on 35's a couple weeks 36k miles fir $53k could have sold it 5 times. I have 3 Jeep eco diesels 2 2021 and 1 2022 . 1) Jtsd 2) Jtrd 3) 22 Jlurd. My son has the matching 21 Jtrd Gecko as I do. He has 60k miles on his and is running 40's I have 37's on both mine and 40k miles on the pair. My wife has 15k on her Jlur I'm a used car dealer have been for 35 years. I've owned personally 50+ Jeep's in my opion there has never been a better combination then the ecodiesel and the Jt/Jlu combo. I have a 20 Ram 1500 as a lot truck bought it new 197k miles zero problem it has the ecodiesel. There fuel pump has been used in tons of vehicles and I have heard they fail I've never had one yet. I have a 17Jkur that I loved tell I drove my Jt with the diesel now it sits. My wifes 22 Jlurd she gets 30 mpg and off road the torque is amazing best out of the box you can get in my opinion and I've had 2 392's still like my ecodiesel better!, my professional opinion go by the Jt it's a deal

Many of the dealers near me in SoCal have markups. Was the high pressure fuel pump fixed in 22?
In the AV on socal the dealer here mark them up about 10k... 40k on the 392

I refuse to deal with stealers like that

I purchased my 2022 Rubicon eco-diesel last October. Some of what I read are pipe dreams so far as price quoted on different reply’s. I have 62,000 in mine but it’s loaded with options. To get it under 70,000 and get the diesel Rubicon I had to drive 8 hours from home. I ended up with what I felt like was a good deal and I looked on the net at these trucks for six months before finding three I was interested in. Missouri, Illinois, New York and the one I bought in Newport News VA. Price was my sticking point and the states I mentioned had trucks similar to what I purchased for under 70,000. My advice is look around using Edmunds and other online search engines and see what you can get within an 8 hour drive. If you can save 3,000 bucks that’s like working a 16 hour shift for a 3,000 dollar check, worth it to me anyway. So far as the diesel is concerned, I’ve had no issues and the power and fuel economy are both amazing for what the vehicle is. It weighs over a thousand pounds more than out new Ford 2500 work trucks equipped with gas engines.

Thanks for the input everyone! I did some more research last night and extended my search radius as far as I could go , I even checked Iowa as someone had stated here. This one I’m looking into still seems like the best bang for the buck with the options and color I want. I’m going to pull the trigger on it and daily drive my TJ for now until I get some more information from the dealer about fixing the recall. Thanks everyone!

Awesome! I love mine. We have 28,000 trouble free miles. The first 500 miles were an issue because factory wrapped a harness around the exhaust but that was an easy fix and has been good ever since other than a battery change.

Interesting as I also bought my Gladiator in Newport News as it was also a great deal and worth the 4 hour drive.

Don't buy from a dealer in SoCal, get online and work a deal from a lot in the midwest. I flew to South Dakota to pick up my JTRD (nearly the same spec as the one you want, minus the wheels and tires). The amount of money you will save on the purchase will pay for shipping the vehicle to your door and you will still have cash left over.

I’m not buying from a dealer. It’s a private party sell, so there is probably still some room to negotiate. Dealers have so many markups and hidden “packages” that they can’t remove from the sticker price

Where in Ca. I got mine new for 55k but its not as loaded as yours. I like mine. Power is nice. Was able to crawl up a decent amount of stuff at Rubicon and Moab. I use to have a gas jeep prob wouldnt do that again.
