Unless the tazer is in an armored location, simply removing the tazer kills that.

I see but there is a feature to kill the pedal even if the tazer is removed. Check out this video. They talk about. I wonder if this nacho truck has this featured enabled? If if the key is cloned it will still be disabled.

I'm still thinking a hidden Revelco + NOLIMITZ + Rugged Ridge hood locks would be sufficient to defeat all but the most dedicated and knowledgeable thiefs.

I know the Revelco can be defeated, but it's also likely to be missed if you don't have stickers warning about it and it isn't placed in an obvious and easy to probe location. A dedicated and knowledgeable thief would of course know to look for it, and the NOLIMITZ, but that takes time... and most are trying to get in and out quickly.

Anyone have any thoughts on that? I'm probably going to commit to this setup myself in a few days.

Would nolimitz need to be unreachable so they can't remove and make a key? Wonder if it's still possible with the right software to bypass nolimitz even if it's there?

Good question. You'd really have to bury it in the dash and make it look factory I would think. I already have a factory style loom tape I wrap everything in, but that's not foolproof.

My other concern about that is it seems to have some early/beta issues and it is such a new product.

Nice where do you by that factory tape?

Yea I saw some posts on the glitches with nolimitz.

Did you see the vid on the tazer to disable the pedal even if removed?

I don't understand why Jeep won't make the RF lockout available to us the way they did the Trackhawk and other RAM/Dodge vehicles.

Interesting, but not likely to be used on a daily basis. And it would require that the vehicle has a fly by wire gas pedal. The challenger does clearly, but I’m not sure about JL or JT.

JL and JT has a wired digital signal gas pedal. I cannot remember the last time I saw a vehicle sold here in the USA new that was still using old school mechanical pedal cables to a throttle body. I do not think a modern vehicle could pass current emissions with mechanical analog gas pedal.

Good to know. I didn’t want to assume without being sure. Enough misinformation out there without it coming from me.

tazer sells one
It's no different from what the immobilizers are able to do. They can also be defeated. The RF lockout from Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram is permanent and cannot be bypassed unless the thief intends to install a brand new RF hub

Can you elaborate on this? Does it just prevent programming keys, but leave everything else alone?

Are they available for JL/JT?

It's only available for vehicles CJDR has deemed 'high theft'. Think SRTs, TRX etc. Somehow our Jeeps arent stolen according to CJDR. It permanently disables the ability to program keys to the vehicle even the dealer cannot do it. If you need a new key you're buying a new RF hub.

That's what I did with the kill switch harness.

Disconnected the component installed the connector for kill harness, then tape everything with Bona fide harness tape. Then stuff the loose end as far as you can and tywrap it so they can't just fish it out.

Matter of fact the same vendor has a dual kill switch harness I may end up going to.
So far BOLT hood lock, not the latch things they sell those are simply to keep the latch from opening accidently. And the kill switch. Might even grab a club.
For long term they sell a plate you install to prevent the vehicle from being shifted into neutral, but that's like 50+ bucks.
