Who did the rhino lined stencil on the hood? That might do a decent job on the tailgate for the JEEP logo!

Yes basically a 3D sticker but I will be trying to recreate a version of this:

Would be awesome if it were embossed.
And a small version of this on the bottom RH corner:

Anyone try reaching out to the owner/builder of this to figure out where the emblem was made?

Yes, not for me, personally. But maybe they could make them smaller. Not sure. Just ran across them and thought I’d post.

lol, yeah I think i prefer vinyl letters or more of the true emblem ones, but these could look cool. Maybe i'll put them on the back of my trailer.

So I used the link above to give this ETSY artist an idea of what I am looking for and put in an order. I'll let everybody know how it turns out. Was $55 for matte black given the slightly larger size of the emblem. My goal was to have it the same max height and width of the current badge, but just the retro letters.

Here’s his first proof. In order to stick with the 14” width, he had to make the letters 3.75” tall so as to not distort the letters. I told him I would prefer 4.5” tall (for the J) and then base the rest of the letters off of that and find out what the width will have to be then. So he’s working on that now. Look good so far tho.

I did the one from Hauk off road. it came out pretty nice. I changed the spacing of the letters.

Alright... the good, the bad, and the ugly (?).

The good: Letters came today. Honestly think they’re pretty good quality. Maybe not “perfect” like the mass-produced Jeep letters currently on the tailgate, but I’m happy with the quality and look of the individual letters. I’m also happy with the overall look myself, but I’m open to feedback and I’m not fully removing the old adhesive outlines from the other letters until I know for sure I want to keep them and not go back to the way it was

The bad: those holes in the tailgate are awful. They aren’t on any sort of level plane with each other, one is round, one is oblong, etc. And the shape of the new letters made it very difficult to cover the holes. I don’t think the one under the J is covered enough, to be honest. That’s my main hesitancy to keeping these on. The thin line at the bottom of the J had to cover the left hole in order to make the whole thing even close to centered over the camera, and it still may not be centered completely due to where that made me have to stick the p (haha, funny funny).

The ugly: maybe the whole thing? I want comments, good or bad. Let me know what you think.
