The Chinese own it. The CCP won't allow it in their own country. India has banned it.
India - and others -

Jeep Gladiator "Jeeps are the most overrated and terrible cars there are" 1710814732193-ss

(that list isn't all inclusive)

When kids and teens write and call the government begging them to not ban it because "they need it" you know there's a problem..........
Need? That's a pretty strong word for such a platform among many.
Adults also called their reps saying "but that's how I make my living, you can't ban it or I won't be able to pay my rent" types of calls - pretty sad.

I have a feeling it was created the way it was for a reason - look at how fast millions of people have become literally addicted to it, and so reliant on it they are begging for it to not be banned. Pretty scary.
Reminds me of a Star Trek TNG episode about a game that was introduced to the crew....... addictive and people could be told almost anything after playing it. Sounds a bit like tiktok where people are talked into doing all kinds of really stupid and dangerous stuff.

Funny? HAHA - sorry, you missed.

I don't make my living on the internet, I don't post bogus click-bait to get money, and don't "come up with life hacks".
Those fools have no life outside of tiktok - just look at them screaming at the government saying they "NEED" tiktok!

They live on platforms like tiktok.

This isn't even close to the likes of fakebook, instacrap, tiktok - the home of "let's loosen lug nuts" and "smack doors in the middle of the night for fun" challenges.

Don't see that here!

You don't see people here who have never been anywhere outside of their basements without a phone or computer. Those "influencers" can't even hold real jobs!
You do have some good life hacks. Your content is pretty good. I bet you could get a few subscribers. Have you ever considered monetizing? ?

My luck, how things go - every click I'd owe THEM money.

I loved my 4 or 5 mustangs I owned as well. I also loved all the BMW's I've owned. Since 1996 when my wife and I got married I've never not had a Jeep parked in the driveway, either a XJ, Wrangler or now Gladiator. I also understand every time I buy one that they don't drive or ride like a mustang or BMW does. I'm glad I don't base my life off Tic Tok reviews.

The ones that "need it" are the ones we'd have otherwise left back in the caves to starve while the rest of us hunted to survive. They produce nothing but "awareness" and generally are a drain on everyone else.

I'm so glad I got out of the hospitality industry before the rise of influencers. Because I'd have gone viral kicking one of these self-important twats out of the restaurant for trying to weasel a free meal for a plug on their platform.

This is what social mediocre and actually, the whole public who ever bother with tiktok and instacrap and fakebook are doing to us -

Jeep Gladiator "Jeeps are the most overrated and terrible cars there are" 1710852074839-c

I swear, tiktok is going to create a whole generation who can't get along with real people and just don't understand the world because they live in their own little world. It's the same type who are blaming the wrong people for recent events elsewhere - they've never been there.

Anyone who is enamored with tiktok and similar - toss the phone in the garbage, go take a few trips to other parts of the world and spend time with real people doing real work, real things, and get some facts, not what your influencers tell you is real.

But everyone on tiktok is an expert - sort of like youtube. If you can make and upload a video, you are a star.

You're violating my right to randomly assemble in your private place of business and make a video that will get me clicks and exposure! Bigot!

We are way past the event horizon on that front, unfortunately.

We were in Iceland a week ago yesterday. Every lagoon/pool/spring/tourist site we went to was full of wannabe influencers trying to get the perfect insta-ready pose or TikTok clip.

Naturally, I made fun of them in a rather obvious mannerIE: My fat white ass coming out of the Blue Lagoon like a mermaid was a thing to behold.

Except I didn't bring my goddamned phone in the pool like those idiots so ya'll will just have to imagine Moby Dick breaching while Ahab launches a harpoon.

In the future, everyone will have their 15 minutes of fame.

Just sharing, I thought I would start your Monday.... with some humor...

I'm still grasping the idea that so many people like this exist...
Also, makes me wonder about "our" jeep community/base as a whole... is this one of those " one bad apple" senerios or is this more common throughout the jeep community than I realize ?

Atleast according to this ex Mustang driver, Jeeps suck.

Warning... if your like me, I could hardly get through the videos... blonde is cute, but absolutely obnoxious... and the ball cap chika had me at "my wife".

Here is the original article that sparked this off.

Normal people crack me up. "Jeep sucks". No it doesn't, tell me you can't drive without telling me you can't drive. Tell me you don't wheel without telling me you don't wheel. Tell me you don't understand what an enthusiast vehicle is without saying so. tell me you don't understand enthusiast vehicle maintenance without saying so.

Jeep JT/JL is designed to do a handful of things and it does them better than anyone else. Its an offroad machine that is street legal, vs these SUVs and trucks that can go offroad. IDK who TF buy a solid front axle vehicle and expects it to handle like a sports car. Jeep isn't to blame, the average human's entitlement and delusions is. We all buy our Jeeps for a reason. But if you bought just because you thought it was some "cool kids club". Well congrats u played yourself. Jeeps aren't a trend, or a comfortable daily. They are honed offroad machines that can do other things. And if you don't offroad it, you bought the worst midsize pickup on the market. just my two cents. And if you did buy it to look awesome, well being pretty ain't easy, and looking cool ain't cheap. This is a people problem not a Jeep problem.
This ☝

At the end of the day I love my jeep…I don’t give af about the haters because this is what makes me (us on this thread) happy. And I dare to say we can all use some happy now…?

I agree with her: all the Jeeps I've owned drive like shopping carts. Mine's bad on gas, is slow as sin, and likes to wobble (not DW). But that said, it's a monster offroad, it's reliable, it tows my camper, has a great sound system for a factory setup, the kids like it, and it's great to look at.

If you aren't wheeling a Jeep... be honest... it's a shit vehicle by many metrics. But if you use it for what it's real aim is, it all comes out in the wash.
I'm one of the many who came back to Jeep from a Tacoma. I wonder how many of us opted for a real off-road truck?

I wish the government would hurry up a ban tik tok. Nothing but crap on it. People who can't make it in the real world. Try to make money by getting clicks.
I predict that Tik-Tok will be purchased by a number of American billionaires. I doubt it will go away. I don't use it.

And that is sad as it's the most problematic of all of the platforms with more crazies per 1,000 users than almost anything else.
It's ok to create a car theft challenge, punching a stranger challenge and worse. It's where the real crazies and bottom feeders gather.
