So at the moment 64.6% are between the ages of 30 and 50. Not unremarkable really. But….it appears 100% of the owners are between 16 and 79. ?

Buy her a Pinto!
Don't buy her shit!

I can't believe how many kids are given a car. The reasons I hear from parents is: "Oh, but she gets good grades or has to get to school etc etc".

No wonder all these idiots are voting for the politicians that convince them they DESERVE free stuff that isn't even close to being free.

I’m not a rich guy. I’m 52 and I’d never bought a new vehicle nor considered doing so. I drove my last Chevy pickup for 21 years and I bought it 4 years used. My mom died of cancer 2 years back and told me she always wanted a new BMW of some spec and could have afforded one, but never thought it was a wise investment. But on her bed in hospice realized she’d never look back and regret having gotten it now. I’d wanted a Wrangler since I was a kid and she said I’d driven beaters my whole life and to get that Jeep I’d always wanted when my sister and I sold her house. I think at the time I said I wouldn’t dare, but right after this conversation we had a Christmas snow and my truck got stuck and wouldn’t go into 4wd when I needed it to most. Mostly for fun I’d researched for months but after that happened I ordered the exact Gladiator with every option I wanted and paid for it up front with that inheritance.

As soon as I worry if it was the best use of almost 50k I could have made, I remember that it sure is sweet driving something I like this much and is so capable. The old Chevy was a mountain goat but I cannot overstate how easily this Gladiator climbs the hunting trails. I’ve forgotten I haven’t put it in 4wd. And it heats up and cools down right away, not starts getting comfortable right when I get home from work. It’s my first vehicle with power windows and doors. This will be my first winter in it, but I’m stoked for the cold weather package. Plus the sound is good enough for my old ears, I can tow anything in my range of needs, and this pickup’s a convertible.

My parents bought me a car…a $400.00 Ford Fairmont so they didn’t have to take me to work. It was up to me if I wanted something better…Now I fund multiple stimulus checks so I think I turned out okay.

FUCK YEAH bro righteous story! I drove my 95 Honda Civic almost into the ground. 580k miles. This is only the second brand new vechicle of my life. Last one IMO.

Same here, being enlisted didn't not make for large paychecks. They once I started making real money, we had kids.

Now retired and now working as a DoD contractor I'm finally in a good place (debt free, investments & retirement accounts funded).
Thankfully wife and I are duo military DINKs. 27 years young, no kids(yet), New truck.

Edit: hope I didn't jinx us, ??

I'd wanted one for decades: I even tried convincing my wife in 2006 that the Unlimited Wrangler was a great family vehicle for our then seven year-old. (It didn't work.) Rented a couple 4-door Wranglers over the years on family vacations. I also was constantly beginning sentences with "When I get my Jeep...". After years of paying for various school activities, sports, other assorted debt, college tuition, etc. I found myself at a Honda dealership weighing a purchase of another Pilot. <sigh.>
My loving and very understanding wife turned to me during the test drive and said "Enough: This is too much money for this much boredom. Let's go to the Jeep dealership." We gave back the keys to the bewildered Honda salesman, headed across town to Park Jeep, started test driving a Sahara trim Wrangler, and eventually worked our way up to the Gladiator. Drove off with a new 2021 Rubi that we nicknamed "Wally the Bear" after her WWII vet grandfather. Yes it may be mid-life or empty-nest syndrome, but we are loving it. (I've also told my daughter the only way she is getting it is if she inherits it...)

I'm not shocked at all by the numbers. I figured the average age is mid 40s.

New Jeeps are expensive. It's hard spending $50k+ on a less than practical "lifestyle" vehicle.
