I was encountering the same issue with my 8.4" uConnect in my Mojave. I'm using a iPhone SE (2nd Gen) updated to the latest iOS at the time, and found my issue was resolved after switching to the Apple OEM USB cable. I believe the "new" iPhones come with a USB-C cable on the other end, but you should be able to use the Media panel just the same.

Hope this helps solve one of the issues you've encountered. :)
Thanks, I am using a stock apple Cable, but USB-A and not the USB-c. I had the issue when i first got the truck with an aftermarket cable and iPhone XS, I switched to the stock cable and it worked fine. Since I had gotten the iphone 13 pro i have had nothing but issues. Thats with a stock apple USB-A cable. Now this has always been using the port in the center console, the ports on the dash always work without issue regardless of the cable being used.
That being said, I don't like clutter, and i hate cables sticking out of the dash etc. And not to mention the stupid friggin flap thats begging to get broken off if you leave it up with a cable plugged in. One of the reasons i got the 8.4 was for the apple car play so i could stash my phone and not have shit protruding all over my dash. So the ports on the dash are a no go for me. I am going to try a wireless car play option next, hopefully i wont be wasting a hundred bucks.

New to me 2020 JTR gasser with 17k on the clock had her almost 2mo now. Steering box fix and ECU update via Jeep warranty. Passenger rear tail light is on the fritz and going bad, covered but part on order/back order smh. Besides that it's great and plan to add the Mopar MaxCare soon to extend out for coverage.
can you elaborate on the tail light? I just had my right taillight bulb “go out” then come back to life, go out, and now work again. It’s an LED bulb so I chalked it up to being the bulb but now I’m curious (I do have a Tazer with LED tails ON)

I get the bulb out warning, but it flickers in the middle and randomly while driving. Oh and the driver's side starting this morning, so in to inspect tomorrow and have them confirm and replace that one too

Oh ok, sounds like something different. Hoping my bulb replacement will do the trick

Update from check engine.

They found no cyclinder firing issues, asked if was after I filled gas but it wasn't.

So not sure what happened there.

Can't recall what they told me the radio issue was but they said it was a quick solve.

had to drive 45 min and local rental place they work with had zero cars, then had to argue for dealer to pay the $40 Uber.

They did eventually but I still need get myself there to pick it up.

Painful.

Im going to extend the warranty, hit 12k miles and not fully confident it won't be back in soon
by chance did you run the engine with out the gas cap on? Or with it not tightened? I used to get check engine lights in other vehicles when the cap wasn’t tightened (or was an aftermarket cap)

This is what I opted for. That being said I dont have any major concerns about the rig. Any vehicle can have any problem especially with more added and anvanced systems. But I dont worry about this vehicle any more than I would with a different new vehicle, and worry is less than my old diesel that I sold. The truck I sold was awesome but old enough where parts were no longer made and hard to find. This is new and should last, with maintenance, just as long as the old truck - 20 years and 250K miles - unless the good ol government forces us to relinquish internal combustion engines...but thats a different topic. My '06 TJ has by far been the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned and it's still going strong. To me, Jeeps have been very reliable and relatively trouble free. We'll see how this one holds up with all the new electronics, but any new vehicle will have just as many complexities.

I hate to admit this - but I stupidly forgot to put the gas cap on my truck a few months ago - I got distracted by a guy asking about the truck, was cleaning bugs off the lights and drove about 5 miles, mix of town and backroad highway, and suddenly it was bothering me that maybe I'd forgotten something but had no clue what. I pulled over and there was the cap, off. No MIL, no warnings, nothing, no alerts of any sort.

Hopefully I'm not jinxing myself, but in 26,000+ miles the only issue I've had has been the leaking rear glass. It was replaced under warranty by the dealer (though it took months and opening a case with Jeep Cares to finally get the glass).

I was apprehensive to buy a first-year new model vehicle but I've been really impressed by the Gladiator.
The Gladiator came out in 2019 and isn't really new as it is mainly a Wrangler with a bed.

Have the dealership check it out.
