good evening,

Maybe long winded trying to do this on my phone. So drove from Waco to Dallas today got a check engine light check the code P026D. Proceeded to drive and more Christmas lights. Hobbled into Hillsboro Tx Jeep dealer ship. They checked us in got us into the bad really quick and stated it was bad fuel, will need to dump the fuel and go from there. Again just and journal entry to keep updated it’s a 2023 JT gladiator Rubicon 3.0 with 8222 miles. I will update tomorrow to see if it’s resolved see attached photos of dash.

Man that Blows! I got some crappy fuel at that truck stop at the intersection of Hwy22 and IH35 in Hillsboro. Jeep ran fine, but we had a cold snap a few days latter, got down to the teens and the jeep wouldnt start so I waited until it warmed up a couple days latter and it started right up! That was this past winter so I immediately changed the fuel filter next day. My Jeep only has about 8500 miles on it, like yours, but I am not taking any chances and I dont want to wait forever to get the damn CP4 replaced! Make sure you fill up at a busy fuel station all the time (preferably the same one) and ALWAYS use Hotshots EDT! These new diesels aren't like the old 6BT cummings diesels so pay attention to the proper care and teach the wife all about it too! Goes without saying if you are in our great state of Texas and plan on enjoying your new ride to the fullest a little weight loss does the Jeep a lot of good!!!;)

That’s crappy JeepstrJohn, funny part is my wife Jlu doesn’t have the recall completed and now has 32000 miles and runs amazing. Mine has the recall completed before it bought it. EDT every fill up including this one. My wife is like don’t you dare do the recall on mine. Been having so much fun in Texas, currently at a Rangers game haha.

My money's on the fault actually being caused by the wire harness mentioned in the linked discussion, not bad fuel. The long term fix will be to get the harness off of the EGR pipe atop the DPF and to tuck it as best you can behind the heat shield in that area.
I will jump right on this after I leave the dealership.

I guess question is now if this bad fuel doesn’t fix it, how Jeep will handle the out of pocket.

Unfortunately no refund is given. They will just continues to troubleshoot until problem solved, but may cost you more along the way for non warranty items.

I had that code pop up at 83 miles on the the way home from Santa Fe, truck ran fine and made it all the way home. I pulled the code when I got home and cleared it. It was snowing to beat the band when it threw the code and the code definition is
P026D
Fuel injection quantity - quantity higher than expected
Hope they get it figured out quickly.
Gregj

and I got one of those at 800 miles. 🤬
