Broken Sun Visor

Today my diver’s side sun visor broke. This is my third Jeep. I’ve owned a 2016 Jeep JKU Wrangler Sahara, 2018 Jeep JLUR, and now a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. I’ve never had any issue with Jeep until today. I can’t believe how cheaply the sun visor is made.
In 42 years of driving I e never had a sun visor break.

Guess it's a known problem since the JL's. I had mine repaired under warranty. There's a thread here somewhere...

Let’s see some photos. What exactly broke with the sun visor? Can you be more specific? Not doubting you, would just like more details.

Mine broke last week (driver's side), and I temporarily fixed it with a zip tie just to keep it out of my vision as I drive/look straight ahead. Mine broke just like in the pictures shown within the thread noted above - the plastic end piece broke off just above the interior metal collar. I can't believe this thing was engineered this way - it first loosened a bit, then after using it a few more times, the shaft completely slipped out of its mount, leaving the visor just dangling in place (held in place only by the power wire). I will take this in for a warranty repair, but my fear is the replacement is engineered in the same fashion. Very disappointed in the way this thing is made...

I also got my driver's side visor fixed under warranty. No questions asked, it seems to be very, very common.

I literally don't even use it, so its not a wear issue.
I am still under warranty so I made the appointment to have it repaired, but it looks like an issue that will come back due to faulty design.
Jeep really needs to find a permanent fix for this.

2 years and 24,000 and this is the only issue I have had...a visor...lol.

There is an aftermarket fix if you value your time of running back and forth to the dealership for them to just put the same bad design part back on.

I put a set of these on and am happy with them.

I just ordered a set of these as a pre emptive strike.

I put mine on preemptively also. Never had the issue on my 2018 JL or my 2020 JT and now current 2021 JT. Seen enough threads that it was probably not a matter of if but when.
