I had that code pop up at 83 miles on the the way home from Santa Fe, truck ran fine and made it all the way home. I pulled the code when I got home and cleared it. It was snowing to beat the band when it threw the code and the code definition is
P026D
Fuel injection quantity - quantity higher than expected
Hope they get it figured out quickly.
Gregj

and I got one of those at 800 miles. 🤬

Brain storming, did anyone have any strange sounds when this happened? I was hearing a whoosing / sucking sound when I would get on it.

I didn’t notice any sound change but the only thing I could figure out was that maybe there was a restriction in the air inlet due to the snow and that air restriction led to the “fuel quantity higher than expected” code.

I did read that others had the code when they were changing altitude rapidly. There is another code P026C which is fuel quantity lower than expected and that makes sense if you were descending in altitude rapidly.

Was it raining on the trip? A wet air filter would restrict the air flow.

It was raining on Tuesday on our trip hasn't rained since. The builder tinker in me wants to get to the dealer ship early and try the wiring by the EGR before I drop fuel and everything else.

I drive between Ft. Worth and Waco often. What station did you get your last fuel from?
Ide like to avoid it, just in case.

Haha KB good Choice as of now I got my first light CEL with about 1/4 tank left and that had bucees fuel at the 287 and 114. I then filled up at Cefco 0082 store number. As of now I cannot confirm if it was bad fuel I told the dealership I needed a quart of it so i can send it in.

Wow, my son lives in Temple and works in the petroleum distribution service industry and warned me not to buy fuel at Cefco.

Whooshing/sucking sound could be air filter or turbo piping loose.

I've had the quantity more than expected code. It ended up going away on its own. No crazy changes in elevation. I had driven from Albuquerque to Cortez Colorado. Lucky for me there was a knowledge Jeep dealer there.

Free2roam, glad it went away on its own. Yeah the elevation change hasn’t caused the cel before going from ABQ to SOCal. The dealership just called so we shall see heading to get the gladdy now.
