This is what I picked up. If you never heard of them do a web search. Pretty cool.

Super Capacitor jump starter.
I would like to take the cables out of the Willys, how long to these hold a charge? I would forget to periodically charge it up or top it off and have it too low to jump with...but it looks very convenient

Ya know... nobody has actually shown how to jump start another vehicle yet... The owners manuals instruct how to jump start the JT, not another vehicle...

Those are pretty generic jump start instructions. The preliminary info was for the JT specific to find the battery posts.

I jump started my F250 after it set for 6 months. No problem just follow normal procedure. No issues with JT plenty of power for the start.

I remember a time when someone could ask a question in a forum and get an actual answer, not smart ass responses. But i'll just chock it up to sleep deprivation Dad.

Page 195 doesn't show jack shit, genius.

They don't hold a charge very long, it's not a battery, it's a capicitor. You charge it each time you need it. If you left a accessory on and your battery is to low to start but isn't completely dead, you can even charge it on your own low battery and get one Hail Mary shot to start. Of course you can charge it on a vehicle with a good battery faster and as many times as needed. Charge it on battery posts or cig lighter. Do a search and watch a couple videos, I was skeptical at first.

I've jumped my lawn tractor with the JT...

We should find all the videos on youtube that deal with the common simple tasks, and place them all in one thread. There are some members here that would benefit from that. It seems there are a lot folk here that their technical ability is barely putting gas in the vehicle, much less changing a tire...

But in 6 weeks, someone will ask again.
I mean what's this thing you call a manual? Isn't that what the internet is for?

So you reverse the process - it's the exact same thing LOL

As my youngest son used to say any time there was a problem - "just reverse the polarity" -
No, don't do that in this case! But he was always making commentary on how complex things turned into that didn't need to be so complex.
Dang kid was too smart for his own good.

Manual = correct most of the time
Internet = incorrect most of the time.

My boss at CCC called it the misinformation stupid highway - he was amused by the first fool who would give a response and then the hundreds of fools after them that would copy that response all over the place as an answer, spreading bad info faster than a CA fire.

Anyone who can't find a battery or can't find battery posts has no business jump starting anything at all and should sit back and call for help.
This crap of "anyone can do anything and here's how" is killing us.
If you can't find the battery, can't find the posts, or have any issue determining the polarity of things, etc. - get the hell away from jumper cables.

For everyone except the technicians......... have you see the video on the Ford pickup where they start getting into it - and oh, what a mess.
And then there will still be those who can't figure out which end of the the plug goes where.

Especially when it's not universal.
