Hello all. I recently purchased a set of junk yard axles from a 2005+ Ford F350. I already have already cleaned up most of the axles of their old mounts. My questions are about electronics and brake lines. I mainly want to know if anyone has experience with the Jeep to Ford ABS sensors and also brake lines. Has anyone done this swap for a JT or JL?

I already have the artec
Artec sells tone rings and brackets/trusses for that swap. Check them out. https://www.artecindustries.com/jt_swap_kits
I already have the trusses and all bracketry for front and Rear. Its the tone rings and brake lines I am asking about. I have not seen anyone do a Junkyard 1 ton swap for a Jl or JT. I spoke to Artec they still do not have tone rings for 1 tons that will work for the jl or jt. They hope to have them ready in August.

I appreciate the help. I have not heard of anyone doing the Junk yard swap. If Money was not an issue I would have spent $20K on some Dynatrac or Currie Axles. This route saves me about $10K ish. I am just looking to see if anyone has successfully installed a set and satisfied the JTs Electronics.

Wonder if the Dodge Ram sensors fit like they did in the JK, no ring modification at all

No they do not work. I spoke with Artec. They are developing a bracket to mount the factory jl/jt sensors on the SD axles. They should have the tone rings and bracket available next month. I am patiently waiting for them to be ready for sale. Jk, very Impatiently waiting for them to be ready. Lol.

Last I checked in artec was working on Ford wheel bearings with jeep/ dodge compatible sensors or something along those lines.

There are tone rings available but I dont remember who had them. I want to say it was artec.

I really wish dynatrac would sell the parts they use.. there is an alternative I haven't looked into yet but you've got me thinking.

Dana sells factory Dana 60s that bolt right into the JL/JT If you can get your hands on the BOM you could theoretically order just the sensors from them.

when I did my LJ 1ton swap i had my local hydraulic place make me custom length brake lines & had motobilt weld on tabs for tidying things up.

Did you ever find a solution for the tone rings?
Hello. Yes I did! I spoke to a semi local guy who gave me some pointers. So for the front axle i will use the Ford factory 60 tooth unit bearing along with a Dodge ram abs sensor Part# ALS1984. For the rear Sterling axle i purchased Artecs 60 tooth tone rings and machined my rear hubs and pressed them on with green loctite. The rear will continue to use the factory jeep abs sensors along with artecs abs sensor mount. some minor trimming has to be done to the axle housing flange and also on the rear caliper mount bracket. You will also need to drill some holes in the ford brake dust guard for the sensor to read the tone ring. Ill take some photos and post them up. Oh also you will need a programmer to change the tire size to get the speedometer correct. Artec also has a little write up about the percentage that it will be off from the Jeep factor 52 tooth rings. overall it wasn't too bad. I still don't have the axles on my truck. I am taking them in tomorrow to get 5.38 gears and yukon air lockers installed. Ill keep everyone posted on the progress.

Ford axles are 3" wider than stock rubicon axles
