@JeepCares And this is how it looks.
Paint doesn't match, trim pieces left off, trim pieces not installed correctly, nicks and scratches from them removing the panels. They delayed returning the truck to me because someone stripped a few of the bolts that allow the door to be removed. They ordered the bolts and they didn't come in, so I suggested the great idea of maybe seeing if any other Jeep dealerships had them in stock and that's where they found them. This is what happens when you are forced to use the dealership body shop. They already are aware of the paint mismatch, I discovered that the second I looked at it the other issues will be addressed in an email today. This whole process of getting my truck fixed has been painful and I'm pissed that I'm going to go through it again with my wife's JLU.

hell no, they can keep it. I'd just let it go man and get a different one.

My JTR is in the body shop getting done for paint corrosion too. Let’s hope your dealership steps up and makes it right.

That's terrible--It looks like they pried the door panels off with a screwdriver and damaged both the door and the panel in the process. They need to replace the entire door assembly--there's no way I would accept that work, BUT if you take it back to them there's a better than good chance that they wont get it right the second time either.........

Ugghhhh reminds me of when I had to have the dealership do warranty body work (major fender rust repair) on my VW Jetta commuter car. They were sending the warranty jobs out to the lowest bidder in the local area...and it turns out that was a few dudes with some spray guns and a back alley rented shop in an industrial park...that ONLY did warranty paintwork for the dealership. Paint did not match, very thin, orange peel, probably only one light coat of trim, panels not aligned, etc etc.

Sorry you are going thru that. Had similar issue when I had paint repair on my 2020 hood. The paint didn’t match, there were swirls of black dust in it, and the Rubicon decal was poorly applied (had bubbles in it etc). To their credit, the dealer took it back and redid it and made it right.

My hinges are having the issue now too. Dreading brining it in because of the first experience and your similar one. I question if “the cure is worse than the disease”. Mismatched doors are more noticeable than a little bubbling on the hinge (unless the paint fully pops off). The hassle of not having a car for an extended period and then possibly doubling that if it needs done a second time sucks.

What I don’t get is why don’t the body shops QC their work before presenting to the customer? They have to know it looks bad yet they make you feel like you are the one being picky rejecting their shoddy workmanship.

This is what they are doing in my area as well. First time around it went thru the dealer (drop off and they took it there). This time I am being told to take it directly to the contracted body shop.

They might as well have painted the doors orange. At least that way it would look like you meant to do it.
You can’t panel paint a metallic and get a match.

That's terrible... I'm starting to get a bit of corrosion on the edge of my hood and I'm debating if I even want to deal with it. I feel like they're going to mangle it.
i'd waranty it but ask for whole new repainted hood. or just pay a reputable body shop for the repair and see if i could get a percentage of reimbursement from FCA

Looks like they hired some Vocational Tech students to come in after hours. Never accept substandard work or they'll do the next guy like this.

Was it dropped off to you that way? I would not even had left the dealership body shop with it looking like that.

It is like neanderthals worked it. Silver is about one of the hardest colors to match and nothing short of a whole body paint is going to make it look acceptable.

I wish I could be more optimistic, but you are going to be putting up with more pain over this before a solution is figured out.

I went and picked it up Tuesday. I needed to take the truck since I didn't have a rental anymore. I immediately noticed the paint mismatch and showed the body shop manager. He agreed to repaint the mismatched area. I have to wait until they get their loaner back since I doubt Jeep will approve another rental for me. I didn't notice the interior issues and the hinge bolts until yesterday when I got a chance to look over the entire truck. It will not leave the dealership again until it 100% corrected and I'm satisfied. That's $5500.00 dollars worth of repairs you are seeing.
