Not to highjack the thread, but regarding the diesel and regearing.
Isn't 3.73 (stock gearing) in 6th gear the same as lower gearing (say 4.56) in say 8th gear?

If you put larger tires (I.e.37-38 inch) on I would think this would impact take off performance from a stop, but wouldn't really effect power up at higher road speeds. Regearing seems to help when taking off from a stop sign but not necessarily at highway speeds.

Please correct me if I'm thinking wrong on this.

I'm far from a Bot. As a matter of fact, I own three EcoDiesels. I just think if you have to ask the question, "Keep or sell my Jt diesel" then perhaps you are not prepared to keep the diesel. You have to love the diesel or it's probably not the best engine to own, especially outside of the warranty period. The only reason why I own a Jeep Gladiator is because of the diesel. Telling you to keep the diesel isn't necessarily the best decision for you.

I say sell it. Diesels jeeps it seems are not for most. Really, most wrangler platform jeeps are not for most but they appeal to people's emotions until the owner figures out that they are not like other vehicles.

I have a 22' JTRD, running a 4.5" M.C. with 38's, stock 3.73 gearing. Yes, you do have to be easy "off the line" but I can still get it into 8th gear if i try. I maintain anywhere between 18.4- 20.3 mpg.
May regear to 4.56 someday, but that won't prob be till I go to 40's.

If anyone is concerned about "off the line" performance, prob should've bought a TrackHawk. ;)

Once you go bigger tires, I would focus on Steering & Braking improvement. They will suffer for sure.

It's still a great platform, once you deal with the HPFP.

I am pretty sure you can. with that much of a lift. Stock rubi I slapped on 37's with no issues. so with your lift I would imagine you'll be good. I am now sitting 3.5 Clayton Springs.

Hey, man I have 2022 Eco diesel With 4.5 Metal Cloak installed. I love it. I also have it confirmed that the warranty is not void. Fuel consumption is still very good. Around town driving comparable to stock. Highway speeds when you hit a bump you will get a bit of wobble. Speedo is way out as well Factory can reset for you but the dealer just recommends you go with the Taser also confirming it will not void warranty as the program is open sourced. If you go that HIGH please get steering components and an aftermarket stabilizer that's my next step. After that she will drive like a moms grocery getter.

Yeah....no problem. I have about 4.5" lift in the front and 3.5" lift in the rear. with plenty of room. You will need 2" bump stops. If you want a good ride. I would recommend geo brackets in the front and a track bar relocation kit in the rear. I went with Teraflex for both.
