Sorry if this had been covered guys but I didn't know what wording to use for the search.

Ive heard there is some sort of gasket or rubber strip or something you can use to keeps rocks from wedging between the fenders and body of the truck? I‘m having this issue pretty severely and I know if I don't do something it’s going to get ugly. I'm getting small, jagged rocks that are almost impossible to remove. If I don’t do something soon they’re gonna play heel with the paint.

Any help with the issue would be greatly appreciated!!

Yes, I know it’s filthy but I spent the day off road yesterday. Please excuse the filth.

Quick ideas
Clear silicone - no idea effect on paint
Take fenders off, put weatherstripping on body, put fenders on.
Take fenders off entirely?
Do they make that sidewalk/garage concrete gap material in thinner sizes?

I've seen quite a few folks use a black weather stripping type product. It looks better on the black fenders, I'm not really a fan of it on the painted fenders though. Personally I still find this an odd design by Jeep. I'm not really sure why they needed that recess as opposed to a flush mount fender. Style over function I'm guessing.

I used the tools and tubing listed above on my JL and it's worked great for 2.5 yrs. I look forward to removing the tubing before trade in when my JT arrives. I plan to do the same to the JT.

I thought the same thing. Very bad design flaw for an off road vehicle IMHO. Still love my JT more than any other vehicle I’ve ever owned though! ?

Back when fenders were the norm, and they were hand formed, etc. there was a product called fender welting. It's like the tubing, but with a flat part that pinches between the fender and the body. You punch holes for fasteners, and notch it for corners. I don't have mine yet, but if someone hasn't figured it out by then, I'll be doing so.
