Has anyone used a KLICK WRENCH? Went to order a 3/8 drive 24mm wrench to fit my small torque wrench and saw this. I understand over torquing the oil filter housing is a problem on these 3.8 motors and don't want to cause myself any problems. This KLICK WRENCH thing looks easy. I now have 3 of these 3.8 motors around so I have a lot of interaction with oil filters in my future. Thanks for any input.

Why not a plain old 3/8 torque wrench set to the right torque for the oil filter? More versatile...

I use the same inch/pound torque wrench I used for transmission work over the years.
It goes down really low and is great for this sort of thing, transmissions, and setting preload on steering gear and such.

Haven't used one, but it looks like a simple elegant alternative to a torque wrench.

Interesting idea... but is it that hard to properly use a torque wrench?

I personally hate adjusting my torque wrench to the proper torque and then winding it back down to store it without tension. For $30 I may consider buying one of these just so I don't ever need to use the torque wrench. I want to be in and out fast. I'd be interested to know that they are set correctly and hold that rating long term though.

18ft lb isn't much to winding it back down the tension lol. Or just go with a dial torque wrench (0-50ft lb).

Looks like a solution in search of a problem to me. Might be handy to have at a shop that specializes in quick oil changes.
As one who works in aerospace where accurate torques are imperative, I would question the longevity of accuracy.

And that is not that much.

I have torque wrenches in decent quality from 1 to 400 NM and these are only four.

Total cost was way below 500 USD, as far as I remeber ...

I wish people would stop using torque wrenches at all on these oil filter housings. Just use a manual ratchet and common sense. Check for leaks after your change is complete and you’re good.
