I like the concept. Offering it with the option of Amber or White will attract the largest buyer pool. I would like one that is mixed, Amber on the two outside ends and White on the four in the middle.

Its a modular system so we could probably make that happen :)

When I started reading this my three thoughts were:

1) will it work with Rugged Ridge Venator bumper/skid?

2) amber/yellow lights for snow

3) Heated to avoid snow build-up during snowfall.

My actual necessity for lighting right now is to be able to have decent visibility in active snowfall (the OEM LED headlights and fogs get too much build up after 15-minutes in snowfall driving. I want a really good, low-mount, amber lighting solution which is heated.

I’m glad to see #2 is being addressed. Any word on 1 & 3?

I think this is a good idea, but how hard would it be to replace parts if it gets bashed on a rock? For instance, if a light is broken, is it simple to replace the night? And if the whole thing gets bent a little bit during rock crawling, can you replace just the metal frame? I'd want to be able to buy/replace the frame and individual lights when needed.

1) Dont see why not, it mounts to the factory frame so the bumper is not an issue (unless it has a built-in frame mounted skid)

3) We have our heated 9" LED headlight in the works right now, https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...use-led-because-the-lens-is-not-heated.30238/
Not sure if that same tech could be applied here but we can certainly look into it. The good thing is there is not a "shelf" under these lights light like the factory headlights that allows for heavy build up.

Easy, 4 screws the module pops out, plug and play molded connector on the back. Plug in the new lights and reinstall the screws. :like:

For those of you running an aftermarket bumper without front skid plate you may have noticed, as we have, that there are sections of exposed frame that protrude down past the bumper and almost looks like something is missing. We have been looking into a solution to fill this space and would like to get some feedback on this concept we are working on.

Here you can see an example of a JL with an aftermarket front bumper.
Jeep Gladiator LED Aux Light Integrated Front Skid Plate Concept 7831258D-FEBD-471D-929D-3468D650F050

Here is the frame section (complete with threaded inserts) we are referring to.

The position of the light is optimal for lighting the road. For instance, a roof mounted (A-pillar mounted, hood mounted, etc) bar needs to point downward in order to light the road. Because it is pointing downward the projection distance is overall limited. The projection distance from this lower position is optimized so it can be a fixed mount which projects directly down the road for optimal distance and functionality.

Installation would be very easy for this design. Mounting involves simply bolting the skid plate into the existing threaded inserts in the frame. Wiring would also be simplified with a wiring harness designed for the Wrangler/ Gladiator which would be very close to a plug and play solution which would include a switch module and can work with the factory AUX switches.

The LED light modules would be made up of individual 30W 2" LED emitters. These ORACLE exclusive LED emitters are extremely powerful and have a very nice blacked-out appearance. The benefit of individual modules opposed to a single light bar is:

1) Preserved more steel plate for increased durability and functionality of the skid plate.
2) Modules can be replaced if damage (rock chip, etc) were to happen opposed to a full light bar which would ruin the entire unit.

These 30W LED modules produce approximately 2,200Lm each giving the setup a total of 15,500 Lumens.

Here are renderings demonstrating what the LED Skid Plate would look like installed:

Pricing is not worked out just yet, we are still working on some of the details for the material cost.

Interested in your thoughts and comments!

Once we get the prototype mocked up we will need to fit it up and confirm that.

Nice idea in theory, but up here in the "salt belt" I cannot imagine them lasting very long,

Salt can be very corrosive. Our lenses are hard-coated PMMA for high durability and the plate steel will be powder coated but, yes, salt is going to accelerate the rate of demising appearance of most materials over time.

I'm not sure I will be able to wait that long. Getting ready to change my number and add winch which might step up my timetable for getting binoculars. Probably need to put them in before the bumper/winch

Any way to integrate some protection from highway rocks? I’ve seen my grill and bumper and it has some scars for sure. When will this come out?
