I park my JT in my garage because Jeeps are not designed to get wet in the rain.

https://fordauthority.com/2021/05/j...19, a class,from bubbling paint and corrosion.

I laughed at this part of the suit's contentions -
>>The lawsuit also claims that it is impossible for aluminum body panels to corrode to the point of perforation, but their corrosion resistance is one of the reasons, aside from their lightweight nature, that Ford made the switch from steel in the first place.<<

Guess EPA and CAFE had little to do with it - it was to avoid paying out on corrosion claims. Never realized that was a compelling reason for auto makers to spend all of that time and engineering switching metals.

Aluminum can under some conditions corrode clear through although it takes constant actions to do so - because aluminum is one of those metals that actually forms a self-protecting layer of oxide - once that layer is there, it's pretty well protected.
But that's very unlikely to be even part of the reason Ford switched to aluminum. IMO, that's a wild swing at a ball that's clearly out of bounds.

And this - if the OP lives in MO, he can't join an action in CA and a suit can't be brought on behalf of others.
>>Judge Ruiz ruled that plaintiffs could only claim under the state law where their claims stem from.<<
Class action is tricky...... there can be suits, but beware of the rules for class action.

Another laugh - this time about a Mercedes "class action" related to bubbling paint - I had to laugh at this one ->

>>Currently, Mercedes no longer offers Mars Red as a paint choice, a fact that the plaintiff claims is proof that it’s defective.<<

If we said that about Jeep colors, we'd have to say that half of the colors Jeep ever used were obviously defective - the proof is in the fact Jeep no longer offers them.

Scientifically speaking, nothing ever sucks, everything always blows ;)
Not so sure, I can think of a few Microsoft products that sucked.

But yeah, these tv shows and movies where some space ship lost parts and people were "sucked out into space". Nope - they were blown out into space by the high pressure rushing out to equalized.

Not sure how that applies to bubbling paint, but if your doors rot away and you fall out, you can't say you were sucked out of the JT.

His profile says "Occupation: Retired," so this looks like boomer action from here.

Certainly not the door openings!
I'm a retired boomer and can think more logically through things than that.
But my son says I'm more "pragmatic" and not hooked on extremes in either direction.
We can have decent discussions on almost everything.

Anyway, where's that angry old man shouting at the cloud image?

GET OFF OF MY LAWN!

Oh, just great. Now I'll have that in my head each time I go out to chase the deer out of the hastas or away from the apple tree. (except I'm running out with a BB gun)

What type/kind of restitution are you looking for from us? By posting your grievance here, you accomplished nothing but us making funny posts about it.

The responses you have received so far is all you are going to get from us. Except a few "that sucks" thrown in for good measure.

I feel for you man. I've been lucky with little no problems on my 2 past jk's and my 2 gladiators. I've got a coworker with newish 4 runner that had to have the front diff replaced 2 years ago and now at 30k miles, has to have the engine rebuilt. This kind of thing happens unfortunately with all makes.

Imagine driving down the interstate and having your sunroof fly off your car and land on the highway behind you. (or worse, into the windshield of the car behind you)
