I need one for diesel....looking around. Skid plate will deter drilling the tank somewhat, but for idiots wanting to contaminate your fuel or siphon, I want piece of mind....

Not watching the news much are you. It's the new tactic since siphon holes can no longer be used in new vehicles.while I have seen this scare tactic on news feeds I amnot sure that most thieves are that prepared...

Great! They will get if they really want it. I'd rather leave unlocked and hope for a siphon vs a drill hole. All you need is a refill funnel and then insert the siphon hose.
Precisely why it's a hassle. I don't use the key for anything at all, I don't ever take it out of my pocket. Proximity sensors.Had mine on for a while now. Initially was awkward turning the cap while holding the key but now its nothing. Don’t consider it a “hassle” as I don’t use the key for much else.
Thieves that steal gas are, since those aren't your run of the mill normal thieves. Most people these days wouldn't know how to siphon gas, or anything about cars, So the ones left that do these kinds of crimes will be carrying a drill. A battery operated drill and a container are all that is needed. Much quicker than trying to siphon out of a new vehicle. And guaranteed to work on anything, as long as you've got a nice, sharp bit.while I have seen this scare tactic on news feeds I amnot sure that most thieves are that prepared...
The mopar one. I supposed i could do it with one but it’s easier and faster with two. What brand do you have?
The cap I have doesn’t take both hands to use it.

I have them as well but i use the key to lock my seats and for the gas cap. An extra layer of security is worth the 2 seconds it takes to unlock it for me. If you’re in a low crime or low populated area then yeah it’s probably not worth it.Precisely why it's a hassle. I don't use the key for anything at all, doni don't ever take it out of my pocket. Especially since most of the time when people want to steal your gas they just drill a hole in the tank.
There went the secret.People are wrong, you CAN siphon gas through the JT fillers, don't even need the fill funnel. Piece of stout hose around the siphon hose will keep the flapper out of the way. With a manual pump, I can empty a gas tank almost as fast as drilling a hole in the tank and put the gas where I want it instead of wearing it.
I want to keep the lid from flipping open in the car washI would like a locking gas cap door. Has anybody seen one?
