I’m new to diesel engines and wanted to know if anyone has experience with storing an eco diesel for more than 6 months.
I am used to storing my motorcycle and other cars over the winter. Ie: battery maintainer, wash before storage, change oil, top up all fluids, clean out interior, put some of those large RV desiccant packs inside to keep moisture down. Will also be doing the driveline service before storage and will be putting the truck up on jack stands to avoid flat spots in the tires.
Truck will be stored indoors.
With diesels do you need to fog the cylinders or put fuel stabilizer in the tank? Is there anything special about the DEF system that needs to be done?
