Drove mine 11 hours one way stopping only for gas. Mojave with hardtop. I was a little concerned (not really more like aware) of comments people had made about solid axles etc. but I came from a 1998 TJ so I had some understanding of Jeeps. My drive home was fantastic, no effort steering or keeping it in the lane. Talked on the phone via the internal microphone and speaker for about 2 hours, no one complained about the noise and I had no problem hearing people. Is it perfectly quiet?? No but very reasonable. If not for the fact it gets about 9 MPG less than my SUV I'd drive it on every long trip I take.

Update to post #40
Just got home 2803 miles.
One engine code. Had dinner t scanned in Cortez Colorado. Something about to much fuel. They said you should be good. Couldn't clear it. But we had stopped for about two hours along the way and it cleared itself never came back.
Trip itself.

Chapel Hill, NC to Moab, I found the ride just fine. Compared to my 05 TJ, the JT rides like a caddy; the hardtop with homemade headliners helps. On my way, I was able to hit trails in WV, CO, and UT. I have the bestop supertop, at 5' 10'' I was able to sleep sideways in the bed on a sleeping pad. This didnt provide the best sleep, but it was good enough.

Get the adaptive cruise control to lower fatigue and improve safety on long hwy drives. It’s incredible the difference it makes at the end of a long day. Comfort is quite good all day but if you want the best comfort get a current gen land cruiser.

Just curious, what's the longest you've driven in one day and in one overall trip? Did you find the Gladitor fatiguing on a longer highway trip? I got my quotes on a Rubicon and a Mojave and am just wavering on the Gladiator vs a few other options I also liked for different reasons.
Mississippi to Pennsylvania and back. Hauled new camper on way back. Made it a three day trip and enjoyed myself. I guess about 2500 mile round trip

Boston to Outer Banks in 2, 7 hour days in my Mojave with family and dog. Heading home tomorrow in a straight 13 hour shot, 700 miles.

I was expecting the worst, but as long as I kept it under 75, wind noise wasn't terrible and got around 18.5mpg.

Oh, and Adaptive Cruise is a game changer. Must have option.

Do any of you long-haulers have some tips for bugs building up on the windshield?

Stop and wash frequently.
A, “Bug deflector,” doesn’t help much, and washers/wipers are pretty much useless unless the bug is very fresh.
And don’t forget to clean the headlights, too.

1400 miles to Lassen NF/NP to see all the volcanoes, then loop East around Lake Tahoe to go into Gold Country and camp at at altitude. Seven days, very relaxing, almost no cell service, BEAUTIFUL country I'd never seen before. Well, I was in Arnold CA for work 15 years ago, but that's different to visiting the Sequoias there!

Lassen NF (actually in Shasta Co)

There is lots of positives in this thread about road trips but driving faster then 70mph is where things get exhausting. Having to correct steering and the feeling like the truck is being attacked by the wind demons. The rig never feels stable on the freeway.. I drove the new bronco with 35s and drives way better on the freeway. Is it the axles ? Also...I had an F150 which is basically a box on the freeway....drove like a dream. I don't get it.
