This thread is confusing.

On JL, the D44 comes with Trac-Lok OR Tru-Lok. One or the other. There is no open diff. D44 Advantek axle offered.
Agree

So you guys are saying that on JT, they're going to have an open diff D44 Advantek axle for the first time? So now there'll be 3 configurations? Why would Jeep do that?
That is what it looks like. Dumb, but the order guide has it that way.

Oh, and while I'm thinking of it, I've seen no indication that the Max Towing Group has a beefier axle. From what I've read ALL of the JT axles are beefier than JL axles including thicker tubes. So I don't believe a Sport Max Tow axle and a Rubicon axle are going to be any different whatsoever, minus the Tru-Lok.
Agree as well

TruTrack doesn't care what gears are on it, so why would they offer it on stock 3.73 rear end but not on the Max Tow with 4.10s. Unless, no TruTrack available yet for the Super Duper D44

This is how I'm seeing it?

RUBICON:
HD axle assembly = wider (length +1"), thicker axle tubes. Bigger brakes?
Comes with 4.10 gearing
Rubicon Only = actual real locking differential

All Else:
Standard axle = narrower width, thinner tubes. Smaller brakes?
Comes with 3.73 gears
OPEN differential
Optional trak-lok clutch-type differential.

MAX TOW
HD axle assembly same as Rubicon BUT open differential.
Optional trak-lok clutch-type differential.
The Jeep Gladiator build tool does not include any differential in the M/T option = it is still a separate choice.

Check it out though...... in the build sheet. Anti-Spin diff N/A W/AJQ and AJQ is the Max Tow.

You can't order the max tow and the anti spin, once you click on max tow, anti spin is grayed out. If you have proof please let us know.
I just emailed the inventory buyer at my dealer. After looking at my configuration preview printout it I do not see the trac lok listed. These are my codes:

APA MONOTOME PAINT

This is beside the point, but I wouldn't order Trac-Lok anyhow. JL/JT have Brake-Limited Differentials standard equipment, and my experience has been that the system works just as well if not better than a LSD axle, but without the fuss of needing friction modifier, friction disc replacements every 50k, etc. The open diffs on the Sport will be fine for me.

TruTrac a.k.a helical spline lsd is excellent. but no, wouldn't want a clutch type LSD either, although not hard to rebuild as long as parts are available.

I think it would depend on the terrain an how well bld works. For most folks it is fine. I like the quadradrive in my WJ more than a typical locker setup because it is easy to steer and only locks up as needed. I've felt the rear lock plenty of times and the front only locks when I'm going up gravel or loose dirt hills. It is also great in mud.

I don't think the bld setup will be good in those conditions since it actually stops a tire. I think you would lose momentum in mud and gravel hills will probably have the system locking and unlocking all 4 tires at different times. I do not plan on driving a new truck on trails where I abuse my beat up WJ so a JT Rubicon would be overkill. I would rather just armor under and around the JT and upgrade the axles as needed.

My 13 year old drove the Land Rovers at Overland Expo last year and their BLD system is pretty advanced. It had no problem with 1 tire in the air. Not like my old 4runner with open diffs that could not go anywhere.

N/A you can have the Max tow and Anti Spin, I assume because it uses Rubicon axles, that don't come with anti spin.

Also keep in mind that the online builder is fluid and is being modified and updated all the time as they try and get everything how they want it. So there will be erroneous or missing info from day to day.

Yesterday I was in there and half the paint colors were gone and the Cold Weather Package was not selectable on a Sport S model. It just changes daily. Eventually they'll get it all set up correctly.

The BLD system on the JT/JL is a lot more responsive than it was on the JK. On my old JK I had to get the RPMs up to kick in the system and it made precise throttle inputs very difficult getting over things. With my JT (Max Tow) The system recognizes as soon as there is any slip and immediately applies brake. I've been out with several people wheeling and they have recorded my wheel leave the ground and spin at the same speed as the other wheel making contact. To them it looked like I had lockers. I will eventually add a rear locker when I regear, but I much rather have the BLD system than worry about clutch plates whearing out after 30k miles.

You can't order both the "Anti-Spin" option and "Max Tow" option because the Anti-spin is ALREADY INCLUDED with the MaxTow. So basically, the configurator is just preventing you from ordering the anti-spin TWICE.
