I have searched and read all the links I can and am still not sure I have the answer I need. I have a 25 Mojave X with the factory steel bumper. Will adding 60 pounds for a winch really effect the handling? I have put winches on other jeeps, my 2025 Rubicon Hardrock and did add a 1 inch spacer (it also had over 100000 miles and was sagging a bit anyway).

I love the handling of the Jeep as is. I do not intend to change anything on the suspension at the moment. I have just driven a 400 mile round trip and it is a comfortable ride over all sorts of road surfaces.

Am I overthinking this??

When I added the front bumper to my standard Mojave, it definitely changed the way it drives. Planning on adding X springs.

Many have added Mojave X springs to their standard Mojaves to account for the weight they've added in bumpers and winches. All the reports I've seen have been very happy with the results, with at least one reporting gaining 1/2" in height.

I know it doesn't answer your question since not all setups are equal, and you're going the other way. They had diminished rides and are happy with restoration, while you're wondering if yours will diminish. Maybe comparatively, but with similar end weights, I think their happiness at least indicates it's still a good ride. A small 1/2" spacer may help if you're unhappy with sag.

I'd expect you're adding more than 60 pounds though, unless you're using an underpowered winch. You still need a winch plate in that "winch ready" bumper.

In short, yes. It will be a bit different. The farther away the added weight is from the axle, the more exaggerated the effect will be. So a winch at the very front of the vehicle or anything on the rear bumper like a tire swing will be noticeable.

You could add air bags to your Jeep. Then you can air up any sag the winch causes.

I was in a similar situation with my '23 Mojave. After installing AND REMOVING 2.5" coils and a lift kit, I'm now installing the X coils (should have so to start with). add X coils and test your drive.

My 25 Mojave X with a winch on the front handles just fine… it does get a little bouncy though, which is annoying on the highway.

I'm installing Mohave X coils (front & rear) to my '23 Mojave in an effort to address added weight of my modest build without lifting truck more than 1/2". Should I replace factory '23 bump stops?

If you've already added the weight and end up gaining 1/2" with the coil change, you're really just returning back to baseline since the weight likely caused some sag to begin with. Depends on the weight.

As such, there's no need to change bump stops or anything really.

People have added 2.5" springs when only having 2" spacers/stops/extensions. So even if you gained a true 1/2" above baseline, you're still good.

The OP stated in his post that he has a 2025 Mojave X so he already has the X coil springs.

I have put a steel bumper on my Mojave and having similar problems… where can I find a set of Mojave X Coil Springs?

I'm about to add a rear steel bumper. I doubt it will have the same impact in the rear as it did in the front. Maybe it will balance things out nicely.
