No.I don’t have a bed cover does that matter?
Another rack similar to the Voodoo rack. Billiebars. They have some cool add-on side MOLLE panels. Look at the 1UP USA bike trays also. When not in use they are much more low-profile than Yakima. Not dogging Yakima, I like them. I Also like the Rockymounts trays. So I need to order KB VooDoo cross bars and Yakima HighRoad bike mounts. Like anything specific with the voodoo bars?
Legit. Where did you get this from?I have a Yakima roof rack and hitch rack. Both work great. For the Gladiator I wanted something easy, where I didn't need to remove the front wheel, and was easily removable.
The foam helps with roadie tire width, otherwise fits a mtb without it. Takes up very little space, weighs 5 pounds, out of the truck in 30 seconds.
We made it. Take a look at this thread. I posted up the link to the site where I sourced the idea.Legit. Where did you get this from?
The Yakima high Roads aren't mandatory, that's jus what I went with. Any tray style bike rack will work, you may just need to adjust the mounting on the KBvoodoo cross bars.So I need to order KB VooDoo cross bars and Yakima HighRoad bike mounts. Like anything specific with the voodoo bars?

Do you have the trail rail system, or DIY rail system?
Ok KBvoodoo sells the "no drill clips" that attach to you bed and you don't need to rails. I installed the DIY bedrail system, and then attached the KBVoodoo to that, seemed my secure to me.No I have just a plain lined bed
Are you rolling up the cover and climbing in the box to put the middle two bikes on?I used to use a hitch rack, but gave it up for a few reasons:
1: can't tow anything at the same time...
2: when not towing you lose the backup camera and park sense.
3: can't get stuff out of the bed because the tailgate won't drop all the way. (Or need to roll up the tonneau, which can be a pain if it's raining)
I have used every kind of rack and found this method be the solution with the fewest downsides... And it's low enough to go through most drive-throughs as well!
Which tri fold do you have that works with the T-slot?Not a mountain bike but I have a Yakima rack system with a trifold cover. I have to buy a t-slot rail to make it all work.
My 15 year old son and I have figured out a routine where I hand the inboard bikes to him while he stands on the tailgate. We put the inboard bikes on first and take them off last and It’s not hard. I’ve also done it myself from ground level, and although it’s not the easiest way to do it, it’s not that bad with 29lb bikes. Keep in mind I have no lift kit... if the truck was 3 more inches off the ground with a lift kit I could see it being a bit more difficult. Regardless we never have had to have the tonneau open to get the bikes in place. Are you rolling up the cover and climbing in the box to put the middle two bikes on?
Which size thru axle did you buy? TYPut a Kuat dirtbag mount https://www.kuatracks.com/product/dirtbag/ on a board, works pretty well, especially with stuff packed around the bike for a trip.
