My co-workers are asking "what are them ducks for in jeeps"

Those who hate the duck thing apparently have anatidaephobia.
It is described as the irrational fear of ducks or water fowl.

I do not think it is so much the hatred of ducks and is more of it being a childish thing that has worn on people that think it is cute the first time or two but wears after that.

Closest analogy I can think of is people that try to personify their pets (mainly dogs) through putting human themed outfits on them.

In either case of the ducks or dressing up ones pets, it starts from and mainly is driven by women who find solace in such behavior. Men tolerate it much less and Jeeping is a predominately a male driven thing.

Hey, I like this guy. Car was cool - a really nicely built 3.6 and he dressed his cat up because it was cold out. He had his cat with him in the car.

All 26 of my dashboard ducks have unique personalities. That’s why they all have names. They listen to me. They’re all such respectful listeners! Sometimes I think they’re the only ones that care. Catherine gave me a duck. That’s why I thought she was one of the good ones. But now Catherine doesn’t listen. Catherine doesn’t care. I told her to put the lotion in the basket. I guess my point, men have typically liked to have fun like "dressing up" the wedding get-away car, but more and more seem to be bugged by a 1 ounce, soft, rubber duck sitting on a door handle.
Today, men like to put a close-up shot of their mug on youtube videos while making some goofy face.
How the world has changed............ so very uptight.

My daughter was ducked in her JL. She thought it was great. I went to amazon and bought two dozen ducks. I ducked Jeep her every day for three weeks. She's done with the whole ducking thing now.

After 2.5 years of ownership, I have 2 ducks - One was gifted to me by my non-jeep owning cousin and the other was a random person in Tennessee.

Cool part about the Tennessee one is that it has a heart on it and I got it the same day my wife and I got married in Gatlinburg. Maybe that person saw my wife in her wedding dress at some point, idk. Pretty cool though.

If I get ducked, I just toss them in the seat and they go in the guest bathtub when I get home. The girlfriends kids eventually find them and they enjoy them.

Ducks do not ride on my dash. I think ducks are goofy to be piled up on your dash. But you do you.

My buddy is even worse. If he finds a duck he usually throws it into the woods or drops it into the nearest trash can (which I think is nearly as extreme / off putting as ducking in the first place).
