Help!

Can someone take a couple of pictures of the front and rear portion of your suspension. Just the right or left side. I need to see the springs and bump stop assembled (finished). I especially need to see where the spring contacts the axle and the frame in the front of the truck and the rear.

I think 4 wheel parts forgot to leave a part in during my install.

Went to Oregon for baseball tournament, wound my way back down the northern CA coast. Had zero plans, just go with what I came across.

Didn't even know the tree you can drive through was a quick detour so went. Lady at the gate said uhhhh, how tall is that thing?

Right before we tried a Suburban went through without much drama.

Tried with the roof on, started scraping almost right away.

Took the tops and back off and gave it another go. The rubbing you hear is just the antenna, thought I would make it, but it hit the speaker pod on the sound bar.

Yeah I could have aired down and gone but at that point I wasn't looking forward to both reassembling the roof and airing back up.

My garage is 80.5 to the actual top, but my door hangs at 79.75. I would probably need to get the garage door guy to adjust the door, if possible, to get it to tuck all the way in to get on 37s. I think. It would be close no doubt at 80.
Are you on 35s? Can you take a measurement from the floor to the tallest point on your hard top? My garage is pretty close to the same height as yours and I want to make sure I'll fit. How much have your springs settled since you first put them on?

The spring rates for Clayton coils are supposed to be stiffer. I'm really interested if you get a stiffer ride.
Don't you all know that stiffer is better-- at least that's what she said... Lol

So the Clayton Offroad 2.5" Overland Plus kit is tits! The fit and finish is fantastic. My shop installed it and it was their first one. Owner commented that the kit was very well designed, included everything and was an easy install for such a detailed kit. His only criticism was the length of the rear sway bar connectors. I agree they are long but to work with the factory swaybar they have to be. He commented that he would suggest removing the swaybar altogether unless I planned on a lot of overlanding. Meh, for now I am fine with it and will leave it installed. If I ever feel the rear swaybar is a limiting factor its like a half dozen bolts and its gone. The jeep rides actually better than stock. Part of it is no doubt 10" of side wall on the 37" Ridge Grapplers but the COR springs and Falcon shocks really smooth out the ride. The highway expansion joints were noticably less jarring. Even my wife commented on how nicely it rode, and she had her mind set on it would ride like crap from the moment I told her I was having it lifted! She was pleasantly surprised.
With the 2.5" kit and my 37x12.50x17 ridge grapplers on 9.5" wheels my overall height is 78.5" at the highest point on my hard top. The height on the front fenders (center of the wheel) went from 35.625" to 42.375" an increase of 6.75". The rear fender (center of the wheel) went from 37.75" to 43. 875", an increase of 6.125". So the lift took out 5/8" of rake, just as Clayton advertised, and makes the Jeep look better without reducing payload of towing capacity. The 2.5" advertised lift on my Sport Max Tow netted 4.06" on the front and 3.43" on the rear. Its a good thing I stayed with the 2.5" kit, as I also considered the 3.5" kit, but after speaking with the guys at Clayton Offroad and hearing their assurance that their kit was a legit 2.5"+ and not going to fall short like many do when installed, I trusted their word and expertise and now I can still fit my JT thru my standard height garage door. Overall I could not be happier. My JT looks fantastic and gets a lot of attention rolling down the road. I need to get it offroad but am confident it will perform just as well there too. I have no affiliation with Clayton, paid full price for the kit and give them my strongest recommendation.

@Clayton Off Road
what wheels are those? also starting to wonder if 35's would look to small with this 2.5 kit haha

Has anyone installed this lift on a Mojave? Between lift, tires, wheels, regear, kitchen sink I need to hold off on something. Im wondering about using my factory shocks and shock extensions.

Like many I see on here, I was going through the hemming and hawing over which lift kit to do. How much, which components, adjustable or not, shocks or extensions etc etc.

I spent a lot of time discussing it with members and vendors and mechanics. I looked at the Stage 2 2.5" EVO Enforcer kit For $1160 but it lacks any track bars. In speaking with the mechanic who will be dong this he strongly urged me to get the proper track bar. This guy is the mechanic and co-driver on a 4400 King Of The Hammers truck currently tied for 6th place in the Ultra 4 points class. If he tells me to get the proper track bar, I am going to get the proper track bar. So the EVO kit was out.

The MOPAR kit was a big contender because it is all proper length, but not knowing exactly what I would end up doing I wanted more downstream flexibility. Do it right the first time and not have to swap everything over. So I knew I wanted adjustable and enough shock travel to accommodate without extensions. With an adjustable kit and the proper shocks, if I want to go to 3.5" it's a matter of just springs and adjustments not a whole new kit.

I began speaking to @Clayton Off Road and explaining what I was looking for. Their kits are fantastic but they were a bit more than I was looking to spend for what I planned to do. Like many people these days we have a big interest in Overlanding, even as a day trip, and being able to confidently access remote lakes and creeks to distance and explore.

I was originally looking at the 2.5" Overland Plus kit but asked if they had a more 'stage' type of kit where I could get started today and add on the other parts I need later if I decided I need them for what I am doing. As it turned out, yes they were planning to release one soon and I could get an advance build of it.

So here it is. It's basically the Overland 2.5" kit with fewer control arms. So long as we have one set up front we can dial in the alignment my mechanic tells me. So If I want extra tweaks based on how I use it I can add those on as needed. If this does everything I need then fantastic.

Weights are: springs 21.2# and 12.2#. Front track bar 11.6#, rear 11.4#. Arms about 6.5#. Shocks 5# and 4.5#. Add in the sway bar links and you're at 125lbs or so on the Bak Revolver X4... barely any sag.

I added in the Fox shocks because the stock ones are garbage. I do a lot of highway driving and the back end can get hella sketchy on certain sections of highway that are undulating. It can get into a rhythm of building rebound, I even had it hit the bump stops once on the way to Yosemite with the bed loaded pretty well.

I also added the JKS disconnects because not Rubicon.

It is heading to the shop today and I will pick it up probably Thursday, just based on my wife's work schedule to be able to drive me back. I plan to run the stock tires for a few days to see how much the kit and shocks itself contribute to the drive vs also introducing tires and rims. Yeah it'll look a bit goofy for a bit but no worries.

I will grab some stock measurements for height before I head out.

Is this the ride right? Looks like it paired with fox 2.0s

Kits work perfectly on the Mojave as there are no differences suspension-wise! Factory shocks and extensions work great for the Mojave as well :like:

Logistics would suck being across the country but I would gladly do that if it wasnt more trouble then its worth.. Eventually I intend to move up to the taller springs.

The trouble will be there either way if you plan on making the swap...100.00 is shipping or 600.00 in springs.

I have been having a hell of a time with my upper driver side control arm. The jam nut keeps working it's way free on its own no matter how tight I tighten it. All the other control arms are fine.

Any one have any suggestions? Should I just throw some blue thread lock on it?
