If you drop your windshield, you are supposed to cover up your sensor with that.

Yup, it's the protective cover for the ACC sensor in the middle of the windshield. To be used if you run around with the windshield folded down.

I have one. But I haven’t driven with it down yet, so haven’t used it.

And all this time Ive been using it to cover my eyes when things get hairy offroad and I didn't want to look! I thought it was kind of strange that it didn't have a handle, so I just taped a popsicle stick to it
