Mine does not do well with 35s and 3.73. Flat lands and no towing.

It rarely sees 7th and only sees 8th downhill or with a strong tailwind.
Just to ask, did you tell the truck it's now on 35s? I've heard people say it changes the strategy of the transmission, not sure if it's helps enough to make it liveable or not. Rubi's on 4.10s might be just enough to be liveable if the trans strategy changes, not sure about 3.73s.

Yes, I should have mentioned I'm using an AEV ProCal.

Thanks again for the posts. It seems then when I'm ready to get bigger tires, I'll need a big ratio reduction to about 4.88 or 5.13 if I want improved offroading and keep most towing ability with big trailers in the mountains. The time I regear is also a good time for a 2" lift and upgrade from LSD to lockers if I want that.
EDIT: There are many 4.88 vs 5.13, 35" vs 37" threads. So knowing I can upgrade LSD to lockers during the regear is good to know.

Another option to consider is looking for whole axles front and rear 4.10 Rubicon take offs. Roughly can find those sets in the $4K-$5K range. There is harness adapter that can be bought to utilize the electric lockers on the Rubicon axles.
Do you know if the Rubicon axles are direct replacement for the Sport or Sport S?

My understanding is they are. With the wide track axles, you will need the longer drag link and tie rod arms also for the front.

I am considering going to the Rubicon axles but have had concerns with some of the details ie drive shaft length, Brake components and wiring the lockers. I have found wiring the lockers info on the Wrangler Forum but haven’t seen any threads Re. Subject swap here on the Gladiator side. Let me know if your aware of anybody doing this swap. Thanks

Maybe this was already said, but just in case, depending on your needs you could do LSD on the rear axle and locker on the front to help out in 4wd. That's what I'm planning to do eventually at least.
