Ok with the kill switch, the tazer and a steering wheel lock, that should be enough to deter most... I hope. It has to live in the city in a few weeks for a week lol.

I can't find any gladiator that has a max tow package with a quick online search, they just have tow packages. So I would have to order one... I think I will see what they say, but odds are good I'm just going to ask for the upgrades per ecidiego.

850w cooling fan and 240a alternator, provided the N5 Z case fuse is 100a on the truck.

Thanks everyone!
One last thing (I've not read the entire thread, yet, to see if anyone else recommended.. if they did.. sorry).. I'd recommend a Bolt Lock for the front hood, as well, that installs at the center of the grill, right below the hood. (And, honestly, it SHOULD be a factory option... not sure why they don't offer it)

Quick/easy install, and it puts a steel, physical key controlled, plate in the way of the hood latch release. So if someone pops the corner latches, they won't have easy access to under your hood.

It also keys itself to your factory key, so you still only need the single key.

As for the fraudulent quote/install, I'd get @JeepCares involved in this fiasco, if it's an authorized dealership.. because that sorta scam, I HOPE they would kill REALLY quick.

EDIT: ... and it looks like I wasn't the only one that recommended the bolt lock ;) I routinely have to go into downtown STL, and the area I have to go to kinda sucks for parts being stolen/damaged.

Here's the deal: YOU are the one with the money. YOU have the power in this. The industry has twisted everything around so it looks like the dealer is doing you a favor selling you a vehicle. It's the opposite.

The likely worst case scenario is you walk away from the dealer without a JT; there are plenty of dealers willing to make a deal. This dealer is not the only game in "town."

I've skipped the last few pages to see what's been resolved or left unresolved, but remember that it's your money. Not theirs. Do not be bullied by them. You have your requirements for a truck. That's how it is.

If the dealer didn't fulfill the contract, that's on them. It's also why we have lawyers.

Unpainted fenders are plain molded black plastic with kind of a rough texture. Replacement is easy; rip out the old, snap on the new. $150-200 each corner?

Painted fenders are smooth textured, primed, painted, clear coated. Much more expensive but not sure how much. And as the paint on the body ages in the sun, new painted fenders in the same paint will not match as well as time goes on. There are black painted fenders that match black paint. But from Jeep the painted parts always match, so I assume you're asking about unpainted fenders.

(I went for unpainted fenders)

The term to search on is "fender flares" BTW

This is my goal, I really don't want to mention the "L" word... especially on Valentines Day!

Ask your ladies to do something nice for you all today! You deserve it!

Then do something nice for them too I know you will!
Unless the negotiation goes completely sideways, I agree with you about a lawyer. To me that would be the very last option.

As for Valentine’s Day, my wife did very well for me. I gave her a very nice card and big box of candy and she said I’d get mine later. When I got in the Jeep this morning there were 3 ducks on my dash :)

Or if it has a tow package does that mean it has the radiator/cooling?

That is not something I can answer but is more a question for more mechanically inclined members. On my build sheet it was listed as heavy duty engine cooling.

If you don't mind posting the full VIN of the Jeep you are looking at, we can pull up the build sheet for that particular JT and see what it lists. Some people prefer not to do that though so it is up to you.

It doesn’t say heavy duty engine cooling but it does have the tow package. And towing capacity is 7000 pounds.
