Just because Sellantis isn't doing 12 billion in stock buybacks off of 70k Wranglers and Chargers, in no way means they're going out of business lol.

Good night Irene, there's a middle ground.
I think Bankruptcy is too soon to call - but they are doing incredibly poorly at the moment. All of my CDJR dealers are bursting through the brim with inventory... for many reasons. CDJR dealers are some of the worst scum to deal with (price gouging... etc), quality control issues as of late.... And the fact that no one really wants yet another overpriced EV and thats where they put all their eggs (in the basket) in. High interest rates (probably the biggest issue). And finally the death of the Hemi (this is a big deal for alot of people). My '24 PW and my '23 JTR will probably be the last CDJR vehicle I purchase (and i've had already 5 jeeps int he past 2 years and 2 Ram trucks). CDJR needs management that understands the American market ....

Tavares has been a disaster not just here but in europe as well. Fiat is not doing well, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Peugeot or really any brand (Automotive) under their umbrella. Kuniskis was the best thing to happen to CDJR as of recent memory... and they (Stellantis) ran him off. I don't see how they dig themselves out of this mess unless they reverse course. $70k-$80k for a JLR is ridiculous - for that kind of money you can get a high end GLE/X5 or many other vehicles from established luxury brands. I am sorry but nothing about Dodge Jeep or Ram speaks luxury to me - you can argue Chrysler to an extent - but with only 1 model on sale - its a joke. The Dodge hornet isn't particularly terrible (unless you want to talk about quality concerns) but its outrageously overpriced - $50k for a compact SUV ? - Come on. I mean a Grand Cherokee sells for that kind of money - why on earth would anyone buy a Hornet over a Grand Cherokee (fuel mileage is negligible between the 2).

They need a healthy dose of humble sauce and to come to the hard realization that they (CDJR) ARE NOT luxury brands and shouldn't be trying to tailor themselves as such by simply overpricing. Lastly the biggest disaster is the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer - I am sorry they are nice - but not at the prices they are asking ... competitors have more features - less quality issues and better powertrains i'd argue for the same asking price range.

Way to allow your emotions to bleed through…. I think you may have missed my underlying message.
Still finds his way off a stage, and doesn’t flip like a coin.
Happy Monday ;)
It's not emotion, it's an assessment of behavioral presentation.

They will sell brands before they go bankrupt... They are in very bad shape and its just not Jeep brand. I have a Ram 3500 its been in and out of the dealership for 11 months and they cant fix it. I've been talking to a lot of other owners on other forums and there has to be 1000s of trucks with Regeneration issues. They currently have the Cam and lifters out of my truck and dont know what to look at next.

My 22 Ram 2500 (Cummins) had constant regen issues - literally the 2nd day i bought it - i then also found out that there was a fire hazard (trans dipstick recall) ...some parts ended up falling off it (As well as billet trans valve body, deep pan, thermal bypass, tune etc) - was happy for about 16k miles - then at 17k the tick (lifter tick) started getting louder- warranty work was out of the question and ended up losing ALOT on that truck..

I've been told buybacks by stellantis have been put on hold (due to their financial issues). Also they just shut down their proving grounds in AZ and made another bundle of stupid decisions.

yep i have been battling that as well....... I've tried multiple ways to get this out in the public eye but no doors have opened. Even government entities don't seem to care when i call to file complaints.

There's a lot of rumors swirling right now of Stellantis unloading Maserati to a Chinese buyer.

Pretty sure they would be happy to offload them, as well as Chrysler and dodge - i don't see them getting rid of Ram and for damn sure Jeep unless they were absolutely forced to - IIRC Jeep is their biggest bread winner.

I think losing Dodge would be a mistake, for one thing, they sell a ton of Chargers to police departments. Losing Chrysler would be no major loss, that's a portfolio of two vehicles (Pacifica and 300); Chrysler is the Lancia of the US.

Not anymore they don't (sell chargers that is). So that mistake has already been made.

There's still lots of service contracts for those fleet vehicles that are still in service.

Service is one thing - Sales is a totally different matter. Stellantis has been a disaster for all the brands under its wing - they need either 1) Totally new management and board leadership or to sell their brands off to new ownership that will actually let them realize their potential. Any CEO can cut costs and make short term profits - i'd like to see a CEO that can cut costs, increase profits and not (atleast) negate Quality and increase prices at the same time. All these MBA CEO's are a joke imo. They go from company to company doing the same thing - tanking one company after another and for some reason they keep getting placed at CEO's to rinse and repeat... Carly Fiorina being a nice example of a moron CEO.

To be fair, Stellantis is going to be offering the Charger in both EV form and ICE next year. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, don't think I am.
