This is interesting. I was sure that only springs are different.
I snapped some pictures. Maybe someone who knows better than I do can explain if there are any differences in shocks too.

Here is the weight slip for my 2021 Rubicon diesel, full fuel and me in the drivers seat. It is a couple hundred pounds more than the chart from the original post.

Weight is being compared - but isn't that curb weight or total weight? One must consider ONLY sprung weight.
Rubicon vs. Overland - the Rubicon will be heavier of course - but isn't a fair amount of that in the axles since the Rubicon axles are 1.5" total width difference, plus the lockers add weight so the axle assemblies are a part of the weight difference. Then there's the sway bar disconnect of the Rubicon - that's sprung weight.
The knuckles are heavier - unsprung weight but it's part of the curb weight comparisons being made........

So weight comparisons must be only what's above the springs (unless designing springs and shocks because you are controlling the unsprung vs. sprung weight for the ride)
Shocks and springs should be figured together.

I recall a professor always saying "keep unsprung weight to a minimum for best ride and handling".

As far as I know all Diesels got wide axles. My 2021 Overland got wide axles.
Also all Diesel got steel knuckles. My 2021 Overland got steel knuckles.

The real difference will be Engine vs Swaybar + added underbody protection like rock sliders in Rubicon.

That was an assumption, but it looks like the assumption was not correct according to this -

And here's physical proof they are not all wide -

Attached build sheet form my Jeep JT Overland EcoDiesel - definetly wide axles.
I know that there are some major differences in Export version (no ring on haedlights, front park sensors, Full time 4WD with Diesel, Mojave hood etc...) but I don't think that axles are different

That may indeed be a difference due to regulations over there being quite different. It's been proven by direct measurements here that they are not wide on the Overland.
Europe and the EU have a lot of very different regs, including towing and payload among other things.
Research by multiple people and directly measuring them here on U.S. models is showing we get the narrow axles here.
I'll take someone crawling under with a tape measure vs. ?? ;)

I’ve always heard that too, but my Overland drives so much better with my bigger, heavier tires than the stock ones. It feels more planted and stable. I feel like the Jeep engineers know that most people are going to swap out the stock tires and design them around it.

You've added some width to it. Think of it - stock Overland H/T tires are 10.2" wide. If you put tires on that are 12" wide:
10.2 gives 5.1" each side of center
12" gives 6" each side of center.
You added .9" to the outside of centerline on each side so you have increased the width of the "track" by 1.8" so it might feel a bit more planted.

My new tires are only 11" wide.
But 11-10.2 gives .8" difference total width. That's .4" each dies of centerline of the tire.
I've increased the width of my track .8" total - not a lot but still........ outside edge to outside edge my track is .8" wider than stock.

I don’t think that’s right. My tread width is only roughly 9” wide and I went up to 285s on my stock wheels.

Well, I did say "if you put 12" tires on........." I had no idea what your tire size really was so just throwing out "what-ifs" showing a person would actually be making the track wider.

Mine are actually 11" - General Grabber A/TX 275/65R18 list at 11" and actually measure that wide (depending on how accurate you want to get and where you measure)

You are going by section width, not tread width. The stock tires have a tread width of 7.8”.

FWIW on the Mopar lift the shocks are also specific to the diesel much like the diesel rubicon shocks are. I checked it when I brought my truck home and thought it was interesting.

My diesel “sport s“ definitely has narrow axles. My wife has a gas rubicon, so I was able to take some comparative measurements. I also noted the fenders are not as wide on the sport.
