Ive just deducted something out of your message and the one of mine you’re directly answering to.

AFLQT-EU just means its the Quart (QT) version of the AFL oil family and I can find this on the app, it's just inconsistent with the “FS European Motor Oil” or whatever and I was expecting to find “MS European Motor Oil” but instead they have this bellow, does that sounds right? Should I use this?

Yep AME, SVO, EFM is the product code, then QT, 1G, TP would be the size of the container.

Nice, I just verified for my understanding so their FS line is product code EFM, and their MS line is AFL.
Now back to eoilreport thing, they have 3 entries in their database:
  1. EFM Europeean Car Formula
  2. AFL European Car formula
  3. FS SYN Motor oil

I'm not sure what 3 is for but it got me confused I needed a 4. MS SYN Motor oil.
All make sense now.

So you're using this one yourself

Not this one?

Yes, I have used the EFM in my truck since after break in as that's what is recommended by Amsoil in the application guide. Recently however, it has been brought to my attention that another expert feels AFL is a better fit for our trucks?

Obviously looking at my sample reports, the EFM is doing the job with lower wear metal numbers at twice the mileage of other discount off the shelf offerings, so I feel comfortable. I think the argument for the AFL is that it could be better for the DPF? I have added (burned) 2 qts in 9300ish miles this time since well over half of those miles were loaded right near the max GCVWR in mountain terrain, so that could be an argument in favor of the AFL?

I haven't spoken with Amsoil tech support to get their thoughts on that, but they usually just stand by what the guide says unless you get a guy on the phone that knows more than the script says.

A lot of wear happening. Everyone should go no more than 5k on the oils but I'm going to do 4k personally. I spent A LOT of time on looking over Bobs site and videos of people posting Amsoil. It's mediocre oil. Their add pack is not as good as Pennzoil. When your out of Warranty and ready to go to the best, Redline Oil 5w-40. With all the 100s of hours of research I put finding lap work on it, no questions hands down the best you can get. A work of art add pack even haveter 5k miles. 40% Esters in the base! Amsoil Signature is does not have as good add pack as Redline and they use much less Esters.

A lot of wear happening? Change at 5k? Amsoil is causing a lot of wear from poor quality? Did you look at my posted results with over 9k miles and a ton of towing? Less wear metals present than most 5k mile samples?

Yes, change it sooner if running a lower quality oil and see higher wear metals.....Or better yet, run a better quality oil/filter combo so you dont get the wear metals? I'm not brand loyal to anyone other than what I have seen good results with. I've done A LOT of testing with Amsoil and seen great results other than their long since discontiued blue air filters.

I didn't reply to your sample but gave my general consensuses. Looking at your sample on page 27, that is not that great. Then Pennzoil sample looked better and it had more add pack. I have not looked threw this thread past page 27 but what I saw on 27 is not something that good.

You generally concensus isn't fact and that's why I replied to you because my oil sample showed otherwise..

When you consider that my oil has double the miles on it.....it looks pretty good in comparison to the Penz at half the run time! The TBN is going to be down some after long run time.......Well within spec for continued use beyond the 9k miles. Drop in a new full flow filter, add a qt, and good to go for another 9k? Add in a bypass filter....even better!

We're still under warranty, so I won't exceed the 10k miles of course.

I've done tons of long tern testing with some exceeding 60k miles between oil changes.....different platforms of course. Many go longer!

it is my opinion, and what you’re saying, is your opinion not a fact.

Your sample one had less miles than the one that member sank posted and his looked quite a bit better at 7250 mile vs sample 1. The lab even flagged your additive pack saying that you may have mixed other oils. You’re obviously happy with it, so no change is needed.

Bypass would be awesome but the warranty so it’s not an option for me anyway until five more years.

Also, your iron was a little bit much for me personally.

Plenty of people on the Ram side have no issue pushing their Ecodiesel out to 10K OCI.

I know of one early ecodiesel owner that was a hotshot transport driver and racked up nearly 200K miles doing 10K +/- with no oil related issues.

I get people have opinions to change early "cheap insurance" and all that, but I do not see the evidence of ecodiesel motors littering the highway broke down because someone went 10K on a oil change.
I saw a lot of complaints of main bearing failures. The passages getting blocked by carbon was mentioned.

Do you follow the science or ignore it and act on unwarranted fear? Do what makes you feel warm, fuzzy, and safe inside!

Let us know if you have samples to post. We have one guy that is currently running Hot Shot's Secret 5W-40, but he hasn't submitted any samples yet.

I still have a 3-year supply of Pennzoil Platinum, so I won't be making any changes anytime soon.
Just sent in an oil sample for the Amsoil FS. Running the Hot Shot's Secret 5W-40 and Stiction Eliminator now, will do a sample analysis of that when it's time to change again.

Received my report; I sent the oil in a bit too early I think. I will try 6-7k next.
I was running Mopar oil so far, and switched to Amsoil MS for the last two changes.

Is sample 2 with Mopar or Amsoil?
