Just changed this morning. looked about 15minutes later and it was at 1/2 on stick. checked right after making this post and it is full it must take awhile to drain down. thanks for the reply to a too soon postI just dump in the 5 qt container and call er good. No real filter amount you have to worry over on these since itās upside down at the top
Of the engine. I havenāt had any issues. If youāve changed oil pans or anything like that you may have to add/subtract but if itās stock unit you should be fine with just the 5.

Do you crack the filter housing and fill cap while draining? Mine doesnāt take too long once thatās done. I donāt remove completely because lots of wind and dust in the driveway but once the pressure up top is released it flows pretty good.Yeah, these take what feels like forever to drain down, it is nice to just have the 5 qt math though.
Oh no I meant drain down like, if you run it a bit then shut it off and want to check the oil it usually wonāt show full, but wait a few hours and it will.Do you crack the filter housing and fill cap while draining? Ewww don't say "crack" and "filter housing" like that! Gives me nightmares... don't ask whyDo you crack the filter housing and fill cap while draining? Mine doesnāt take too long once thatās done. Would you mind elaborating? Are you adding Sea Foam directly to the oil or are you just talkin'bout from having added it in the fuel tank ?Gottcha. Yep. I was thinking āoil drainā. I never have a problem as mine gets a bit thinner with SeaFoam before changes.![]()
Yep. Between 150-250 or so miles before oil changes. I donāt run it in there any longer than that. No reason to risk it. Oil is thin enough as it is. Half a bottle in the oil and half in the gas tank. Clean it all up at once. At least thatās the way it works in my head.Would you mind elaborating?
