So, I have a dislike of the shoebox looking rear taillight on the Gladiator. I bought Oracles flush mount set. Upon being delivered I opened the box to inspect the pieces and found that the positive wire on one of the ballasts was broken at the solder point. While I appreciate that Oracle does in fact solder the wires, their quality control must leave much to be desired. Someone actually put the broken piece in the box.
I admit that Iām a little impatient. It was this past weekend and being a holiday no one at Quadratech or Oracle was available. I left messages, sent pictures, asked for a new harness to replace the broken one. Then like I said, Iām impatient. So I resoldered the broken wire to the resistor. I installed my lights and everything works fine and I like the look.
What kind of problems has anyone had with these aftermarket light fixtures? If they put a visibly broken piece into the box for shipping I worry about the quality of the part. As you know these led lights are not cheap.
So, Oracle and me are square. I received a replacement resistor. The lights are installed and look much better than original.
