Oracle Lights? Worth it?

Was looking into the Oracle tail lights and bumper reverse lights. After watching a video on NorthRidge4x4.com and the taillights seemed to be not as visible as the stock lights. And the bumper reverse lights supposedly work best only if you get the taillights. What am I missing? I do have the LED pkg on my Gladiator Mojave.

I’m not sure where you’re getting that. The tail lights are just as visible, if not more, and the reverse bumper lights are in excess of anything else you’d ever have just by themselves.

And there’s absolutely no requirement to have them together to get good results. The bumper reverse lights work just as good with or without the Oracle tail lights.

From the video, they just didn't appear to be as much visible light as the stock. I know the bumper lights are good as I followed a JT offroad and when we parked for lunch, I saw him go into reverse for a couple of seconds, but he had the factory tailights (he broke one on the trail though) I just want to be sure there is as much visibility with the Oracle (or better) than factory LEDs.

I went from factory LEDs to the Oracle tail lights and never thought for a second they were less visible.

I have them on my Mojave, and was in the first order and cancelled my bumper reverse lights at that time, glad I did, they are very bright lights, if someone is helping you back up they are blinded. I also feel they have more visibility especially from the side angle…..Jack

I have the headlights and flush tail lights on our JLU and JKU. The headlights are great, we had JW speakers prior and it was a huge improvement.

Tailights, Gladiators need these as I have seen many smash the stock ones on the trails.
But the big everyday improvement was the backup lights. We actually have a setup of Baja S2 floods to put in the rear bumper for backing up in areas that are pitch dark, and I haven't installed them because the Oracle backup lights work so good.

I have the oracle reverse lights and they work just fine with factory tails.

If you're worried about breaking a factory light while off road, I'd just keep the factory lights until one of them breaks. I wouldn't swap out factory LEDs for less reliable aftermarket lights unless I was trying to save money replacing them.

I have both the tail lights and reverse lights. The reverse lights in the bumper are awesome if your wife needs more lighting while in reverse. Unfortunately, I can not say how the reverse light in the tail light assy is by itself. It is brighter than the stock tail light.

Question: There appear to be problems with them when replacing the halogen lights. The one I'm getting has the headlight fogs LED package but NOT the rear lights/still halogen. Do you have to program these.

Even the website on Amazon says, you "might" have to program them on SOME halogen trucks...

I believe the LED package is all the lights and not just the front. Double check that one. Take a look at the rear lights. There are two different lights used, and it’s easy to tell the difference.

Nope, I have checked... There are TWO LED light packages. One is like the "LED Head lamp and Fog Lamp Group." It very specifically "only" is the front lights. I also checked the pics. I'm still not even sure on the turn signal fender lights. The OTHER one is called "Premium LED Lighting Group" and that one has everything LED.

There are also situations where you get halogen front lights and LED rear lights like if you get the Blind Spot monitoring but no upgrades on lights. Apparently, the Blind Spot monitor needs the brighter LED lights or something. I assumed like you did for awhile that it was one or the other but nope.

I saw this sales video on a 23 Freedom Edition that shows the back halogens and the front LED's. AND it also shows that the fender lights are LED so that answers one of my questions. That is great.
