Stealing a picture from @pughboy2 ’s thread where you can see the little storage cubby that would otherwise house the speaker.

Ok so I stand corrected. Similar to the same space behind the seat on the other side.

I think if you get the upgraded audio the sub goes in the same spot behind the other seat.
That I can attest to. I have upgraded Audio, and the Sub does not take up that space. The sub is placed low and in the middle of the two storage spaces.

I've had my hydro blue JT Sport-S for about 26 hours now. The feature I like the most (at this point) has to be the winter package, and specifically the heated steering wheel. I had NO IDEA how hollow and empty my 50 years were on earth prior to having a vehicle with this feature!!! Start the truck, and like 3-4 blocks down the road my hands are no longer cold as they grip the WARM steering wheel.

The heated seats are nice to have (again) after driving my 2004 Silverado for ~15 years without them.

Just wondering if there were any options you got or didn't get on your gladiator that you love, wish you had gotten or that turned out to be a flop? Obviously I don't want to list every option but here are some I am looking at.

Forward facing camera- I love this idea but I dont think I would use it much. Worth?
--i dont offroad as much so not worth to me but agree its a cool idea

Cargo management group- I like this but I only really want the inverter, outlet. I figure the lockable storage will have a better aftermarket solution same as the actual rail system. Worth it for the outlet and inverter?
--Didnt get...kinda wish I did, but you can install aftermarket inverter for the bed

Spray in Bedliner - $495 seems like a decent deal, and it would be done from the start. But can the aftermarket do it better, especially concerning warranty?
--I went without...scratched it up a bit and then got aftermarket...it was $5 cheaper...make sure you point out what you dont want sprayed (outlet cover, camera access cover, plugs...I forgot about those and they sprayed over...no big deal...but would rather have them

Roll up tonneau cover - Way to go or can the aftermarket do it better.
--I like mine, it sort of locks but it can be easily broken into...I believe you have to have it with certain packages.

Premium sound- Im a huge music guy but ive not even considered this. Anyone get it? love it hate it?
--love it but I went with the smaller screen to save $...so the 7" I believe...its pretty awesome...

Adaptive Cruise - on paper it seems like something I could def live without, plus it makes you take active safety. These seem like a big no to me, am I wrong?
---THIS is super cool...I went without but have used these before...
Premium LED - yes they look great! buuuut, is it something I can just do via the aftermarket later?
--100% awesome I love it and worth the $ to me

Aux Switch group - This is one I feel Is a must have. Change my mind. :D
--I have it...have not used it yet but I am sure I will

Went with towing...I know that you can get a hitch for like $50 and install of those are easy but I am guessing other stuff added is worth it...I do wish break controller was standard or at least an option..

Went with both roofs and bought their sunrider case...its pretty sweet actually

That rear window looks odd. explain to me how it works. ive not seen anyone talk about it. (talking about hard top I presume)
NVM i googled it.
So it slides like the old chevy trucks used to. I can live with that. My blazer has electric rear window and it just get slower and slower over the years.
I added a rear slider on all my Rams if they did not have one. The rubicon slider is tiny like the Fords. If they made it electric you would need to unhook the harness and unhook the cable when you take the top off.

The Cold weather package is awesome IMO. Heated seats are required, heating steering wheel ( a ridiculous feature made for snowmobiles) is pretty nice! and of course, it includes the remote start. love it.

My Rubicon came loaded minus trail cam and tonneau cover. Remote start along with heated seats are great in north east Pennsylvania. Steering wheel gets to hot but easy to turn off. Alpine stereo sounds excellent. Cargo bin fits 12 gauge shotgun. LED’s are the best I ever had. Spray in bed liner is premium. ACC I have not used yet traveling on mostly country roads.

Forward facing camera- I love this idea but I dont think I would use it much. Worth?
- Did not get. I think it is a cool idea but I would never go off-roading on my own so I will always have a spotter for tough and challenging terrain.
Cargo management group- I like this but I only really want the inverter, outlet. I figure the lockable storage will have a better aftermarket solution same as the actual rail system. Worth it for the outlet and inverter?
- Did not get. I got a Rubicon so I already had a 400W inverter in rear seating area. Lockable cargo box and rails were of no interest to me with what I plan for the bed area of my Gladiator.
Spray in Bedliner - $495 seems like a decent deal, and it would be done from the start. But can the aftermarket do it better, especially concerning warranty?
- Wanted but did not get. I wanted this but was not a deal breaker if the Rubicon was not equipped with it. I can get it done at a local LINE-X for roughly the same price..
Roll up tonneau cover - Way to go or can the aftermarket do it better.
- Did not get. The plan is to eventually get the Diamondback SE/HD for my needs. For the meantime, I supplemented with a cheaper cover from Amazon which is working amazingly.
Premium sound- Im a huge music guy but ive not even considered this. Anyone get it? love it hate it?
- Did not get. I have a JLU MOAB equipped with premium sound and I can tell you that the drivers are nothing special. The sub is not worth $1500. I am so glad I did not waste my money to upgrade to the premium sound on the Gladiator.
Adaptive Cruise - on paper it seems like something I could def live without, plus it makes you take active safety. These seem like a big no to me, am I wrong?
- Did not get. Gimmicky to me. Personally, you should be paying attention while driving and reaction time matters. Having your foot off the pedals and having adaptive cruise control take over is not to my liking. I never used it in my JLU MOAB for safety reasons. Also, There were many instances were the crash warning came on when it was not necessary. That is also dangerous.
Premium LED - yes they look great! buuuut, is it something I can just do via the aftermarket later?
- Wanted but did not get. This is an option I would pay extra for. Definitely worth it. However, I could not pass up on the deal I got for my Rubicon that did not come equipped with OEM LEDs. However, my replacement LEDs from headlight revolution are better than OEM. My GTR Canbus 2.0 LED bulbs for my reverse and turning signals out perform OEM LEDs. My SV4 Fog lights outperform OEM LEDs. My SV4 headlights are comparable to OEM LEDs. Overall, I saved $400 by going aftermarket.
Aux Switch group - This is one I feel Is a must have. Change my mind. :D
- Wanted but did not get. Definitely worth it for $275. I didn't get it because my Rubicon did not come equipped with them. However, I did find a cheaper solution by using the HOMELINK buttons for my AUX Switches. There is a tutorial in the DIY Section here on how to use them with just a $20 wireless item. I still would rather have the OEM AUX switch box though.

With my wife's hand handicap - she LOVES the heated wheel, hates the heated seats.
Me - I have Raynauds - the heated wheel can be the difference between having circulation in my fingers or having tingling numb fingers in the cold (or wearing gloves any time it's in the lower 30s or below)
Heated wheel also great for arthritis and since the ER here totally Fd up my fingers when I was in there a few years back, the heat helps. (If I'd have known then what I know now I'd sue their sorry butts)
At least leather wheels are better heated or not than steering wheels of past decades.

Around here it's helpful for when numbers of deer suddenly appear out of nowhere and it's just that time of day when headlights are not a lot of help and the time of year when their coats blend in with the brush and grasses along the hilly, winding roads. Or for idiots in parking lots coming at you from all direction this time of year........

For some folks they'll love it - others, personal choice, don't get it then.

Iowa is full of dopes called "rubber-neckers". Accident in the far far lane on I80 going the OTHER way and all three lanes on YOUR side come to a halt as people slam on brakes to avoid hitting the others who slammed on their brakes because they are stupid.
I was almost crushed between vehicles because the dope behind me was weaving left and right trying to find a way to squeeze through traffic to get ahead of me. Heavy commute traffic on I80 east of DSM near Altoona. Suddenly brake lights went on everywhere and I was thankful my little SX4 had brakes on it that I had done personally and they worked great - and that I was paying close attention because of the idiot behind me and people trying to squeeze in to get just one car ahead of anyone else. The guy behind me I could hear his or her tires squealing as they veered off to the shoulder to avoid hitting me - in the process nearly hit the back of a semi off the road on the right. Why the traffic stopping? A vehicle stopped on the SHOULDER up ahead - but all three lanes came to a halt and I was nearly crushed by some fool who didn't leave SPACE when going 65 because they wanted to get one car ahead - or they thought my old AMC wasn't fast enough for them.
So give me the warnings - to protect me against the others on the road.
If you don't like it - don't buy it - but it seems to me that my insurance may be a couple of bucks cheaper, too.........

You already need to unhook the harness for the rear defogger before you remove the top.
