That's good info to know. Thanks for that.Allegedly. I haven't known anyone who has done it. I've been told by inside sources that the issue is an overheated REA (rotary electric actuator). The worm gears become prematurely worn. I was also told that the only fix was a turbo swap because Stellantis doesn't sell the REA.
Taking my Jeep to a dealership to have the cab pulled and the turbo swapped is quite possibly the most invasive thing they could possibly do to me, short of a colonoscopy. I'll do anything I can to avoid having to do that.Personally, I would have a new turbo installed, but I can understand why others might not want to.
