Allegedly. I haven't known anyone who has done it. I've been told by inside sources that the issue is an overheated REA (rotary electric actuator). The worm gears become prematurely worn. I was also told that the only fix was a turbo swap because Stellantis doesn't sell the REA.
That's good info to know. Thanks for that.
Personally, I would have a new turbo installed, but I can understand why others might not want to.
Taking my Jeep to a dealership to have the cab pulled and the turbo swapped is quite possibly the most invasive thing they could possibly do to me, short of a colonoscopy. I'll do anything I can to avoid having to do that.

Every mechanics have a jar full of spare oem bolts. They bought them to have it on hand just incase some customer needs them 😂

Update
Pulled 500 today across the south. I was on I10 from Florida to Louisiana. Stayed around 70 mph and below.
No codes thank goodness

I've been keeping track of the P00AF on the Ram forum. So far, that code has resulted in a warranty turbo replacement 100% of the time. Here's the list on the Ram forum. Everyone who has gotten a new turbo hasn't had the P00AF reoccur.
