I have ran across quite a few low priced 2024 Sports in the mid-high $20's (auto, soft top). I have also seen a few Sport S's in the $35k range. Is it worth it in your opinion to spend the extra $6k-$7k for the S?

On the flip side, would it be worth ordering a new 2025 Sport with power windows and locks exactly how I want it (Max Tow) for around what the same price as the S after the % under invoice deals.

A1 Electric is working on a power window kit for the JL/JT's and they already make a power lock kit. So that helps to make the 2024 Sport a bit more appealing.

I bought a '23 Sport and will say, not having power door locks/windows bothered me more than I thought it would. I installed the A1 kit (about $415) and it works great but that also means you will have to carry that second key fob. I also installed a remote start (Kleinn Air Horns kits) which is yet another key fob. Just things to consider. Both of those together were about $700 and work great (self-installed).

I bought my '23 Sport for $10k off MSRP in August of 2023 and got the 1.9 APR, but still paid about $37k for it, which was pretty dang good then. So if you are saying you can get a new Sport S in the 35's, that is 2019 numbers and does not sound so bad either.

My final 2 cents is, if you just get a regular Sport, you can slowly put that $6000-$7000 difference into a lot more fun use. Power locks, remote start, steel bumper, a Warn Evo winch, Mopar lift, AEV wheels, AEV snorkel, and Nitto tires, with thousands of dollars left over sounds more fun to me.

No issues for me, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE not having power windows. A lot less to worry about when youre away from home and your window refuses to close.

Does the door lock wiring run through a plug that is separate from the factory door wiring?

Don't missing the power in the doors. Miss some of the other creature comforts, like auto start etc., but only on a it'd have been nice level. What I wish I had done was got max tow for the axles/gears alone.

There are a few Sport Max Tow's in the Tulsa/OKC area in the $35k range. It's the lack of power windows/locks that is my holdup. Granted, only one of our last 3 Wranglers had them.

You will be surprised how much you don't miss them.

If you can wait, per the ordering guide elsewhere on this site, ALL 2025 JT's will have the wide axle.

Just checked the ordering guide and it looks like the axles are the same as 2024. Not a big deal, but good to know. You did get me kinda excited though. :)

Depends on your use , I have a Sport and have a Soft top . My doors are off as much as possible and top is down as much as possible . I haven't plugged my doors back in the last 2 years so no power windows or power locks is perfect in my case .

No chance I'd go without power windows and locks.

As it is I get frustrated that my 2015 Camaro requires me to take the key out of my pocket to get in or start it

I have been considering them more. There are some of those around here for 35k.
The Nighthawk package does seem to be a good deal.

Here is what you get besides the $2,500 auto trans that is listed separately:
