Maybe it’s a hit or miss after install. At least on my 2020 JTR this was the fix for me.
That wasn't a fix because there is zero, none, nada, zip, interaction between truck settings and the controller.
The MOPAR controller is identical to the 3rd party controllers from Tekonsha, Redarc and others.
These are the wires -
Power - 12v from truck
Ground - self-explanatory
Feed going back to the trailer plug at the back of the truck
Connection to the truck's brake light circuit so that the controller knows if the truck brakes have been applied, and in some cases, so that the truck and trailer brake lights will come on if you push the manual button in the middle to activate trailer brakes without touching the truck brakes.
Technically, this brake controller would work with any truck if you matched the wires up correctly with the right harness.
The settings you see are remnants left from vehicles like RAM trucks - they have zero impact on JT because there's no interaction. It just ain't possible.
Check with the dozens here who have installed brake controllers of all types including the MOPAR controller - go back about 2 years and this discussion has taken place before - there's no setting to change because these are stand-alone controllers (appear to have been made by Tekonsha based on the harness configuration)

You should see all of the stuff that shows up in a dump of the BCM in these things! 2nd and 3rd row seating, rear wipers, rain sense wipers and much more even though these never have those things. The same code is used in many vehicles. That's why Tazer is showing you that - it exists, but it's ignored by the truck.

These are the only 4 connections - it's not on the CAN bus, it's not communicating with the truck at all.

I had a problem like that once on a new trailer. Dumbasses wired the brakes on the trailer in series instead of parallel.
I've seen some scary stuff on trailer wiring - on the trailers, that is.........

I never did anything to mine, after installing it myself. It was an easy install. Never flashed anything but my pearly whites when I hooked up my 24 foot travel trailer and towed it. Since then, I've towed an excavator, another trailer for my mower, and some uhaul trailers. Works great.
Hope you get it worked out because I've had trouble with the tekonsha and the curt wireless both. The Mopar one is seamlessly integrated and it's always in the truck and ready to go.
