I have a new set of KO3's (265/70/17) on my JK that are a week old and they are pretty quiet. Just enough of a slight pitch to remind you you're in a 4x4, which I actually like hearing. Amazingly, I have a set of KO2's (285/70/17) on my JT and they are even quieter (KO3's are supposed to be quieter but they aren't).

My OEM AT3Ws were very quiet. My current AT4Ws are actually slightly quieter.

I have used BFG, Bridgestone, Goodyear, and now Nitto ATs over the years on different Jeeps. By far, my favorite tire is the current tire that's on the Gladiator, the Nitto Recon. I have around 30k on them and they are still going strong. And my JT is heavy!

I too got the skinny 37” Recon Grappler w/ 13k miles and still quiet from the get-go. You can notice a low level hum especially after criss-cross rotation but it goes away after 50 miles.

Obviously everyone has their opinion, but take it from a guy who does tire testing for a living.
No better tire for the price/warranty/performance than the Kenda AT2.

First off: an OpEd piece (but I will add some value at the end of my diatribe):

I just have to say that like many of this type of thread, the thread might as well be called "Shout out your favorite tire" because it is all very subjective and there can be a tendency to say that my tire is the best (but the subtext is 'I just spent $2500 on these things so I better like them').

Not to be totally negative, I think the value in these type of threads is that you should be less concerned about what tires everyone calls out and pay attention to the ones that they don't...those are the ones to stay away from. Best bet is to list the ones everyone likes and then see which ones fit in your budget, come in the size you want, weigh what you want, etc.

I have been running Toyo Open Country R/T's on my 2 Wranglers and my Gladiator for about 18 years (8 on the 2016 JKUR, 6 on the 2018 JKUR & 4 on the 2020 JTR) as they have been a great balance between an AT and an MT; but last month it was time to replace the JTR's tires and I decided to go with an AT because it is an overlanding rig and I wanted something with better road manners and a bit less aggressive tread. I purchased a set of the Yokohama Geolandar X-AT's and I have to say they were a world of difference compared to the Toyo R/T's, which stands to reason because of the difference in tread style. The Yokohamas have been amazing; I don't even feel the road anymore as if I'm just gliding down the highway.

I think that the JTR will continue to stay on the Yokohamas and the JKUR's, which we use for crawling, will stay on the R/T's; in fact, the 2016 got new R/T's on the same day the JTR got the Yokos!

My last set of KO2s all eventually leaked! I won’t buy them anymore. Pure junk…

Looking for the quietest smoothest riding all terrains out there. What your opinion?
I just bought the new Falcon Wildpeak 4. I was really worried about road noise but these things are absolutely silent despite having pretty aggressive tread. They claim to have sonically balanced the tread pattern so that it cancels its own noise and for once its not marketing BS and actually works. . I was also blown away by the ride and handling improvements. Wet pavement use to be a problem and overall handling and ride is noticeably better even on rough terrain. Even passengers have commented on how much better the ride is. Seriously the best tires I have ever owned. I almost bought the K03's but I really liked the look of the Falcon.

Almost all tires are quiet when new, even more aggressive mudders.

I'd be interested to hear your take after 25k miles.

Most get noisy after several thousand miles, thread wear and rubber hardening. I only have about 3K miles on the Trail Hogs and have noticed no difference in noise since new. Thread still looks new. I live about 2 miles from the nearest paved road and my driveway is a 1/4 long gravel road. In my opinion they are holding up well. I lost a couple MPGs but that's mostly due to the increased tire size, 35s.

The new latest updated, Falken Wildpeak A/T4's. These are the quietest, smooth riding tires available. They also are great on wet pavement, snow rated, start out with the most tread depth, and don't pick up rocks/stones like the KO2's do.

Heck! Without pickup sticks and rolling stones, I can't get no traction. LOL
