The tazer can black out your lp lights in reverse.
It's not a specific setting, it automatically shuts off the plate lights when you put it in reverse. I think there is a specific setting that you can have the camera come on when making a turn and have the plate lights turn off.

Can anyone comment on how bright these are compared to the Baja Designs onces?

@KidBobot - I really can't compare since I haven't used the others. I've had my Oracle lights since March 2023, they are wired to my reverse lights. I've had zero issues with mine, they work great, the install was easy and I find them to be great on the light output. I will say having looked at both of them, part of the reason I went with the Oracle lights was the factory look, they blend into the bumper perfect.

Every day I back into my single bay garage so having good light is needed, and these do exactly what I need. I also back around a blind corner at work every day, and my staff team have all commented how bright they are.

Thanks. I've used as much force as I can generate physically, I just can't get that last little bit in order for it to "click" into place. I went ahead and used the wire taps and they seem to be working okay. I'm going to send the adapter back to Quadratec to see if I can get a refund. I'm really impressed with the lights though, they are very bright and look good even when not on.
I am sorry to hear that you were unable to get the connection in place. Even though we haven't heard of it happening it is possible that there was an issue with the adapter. Thank you for taking the time to go through trouble shooting, I am glad you like the product overall!

One other thing the adapter/pigtail for the Oracle bumper mounted backup lights can be good for - a source to trigger a relay when in reverse to kill the license plate lights.
You can tape into the Oracle adapter to take the feed for the relay and not touch the factory wiring.
I figure in that way if I trade my truck later on (much to my wife's dismay), I can simply unplug my wiring mods, snap the factory connectors back together, and move these mods to the next Jeep - assuming they don't change too many wiring connectors!

Just installed mine the other day. So far I love them. I used the harness adapter and can confirm wires are plenty long enough now and install was easy. They are very bright. The difference between them and the factory LED reverse lights is definitely noticeable. The second photo has them all on but it’s hard to even notice the facotry ones are on by the time the camera adjusts for the light intensity.

Those are ugly. I switched out my reverse light bulb to LED and thats all it needed. I would rather use this area for a chase light mount since I really dont need the reflector.

The reflector is required by law. If you aren't in a night time accident or there's no state inspection you likely get by. But they are technically the law. .
Tor brought back a 3 year old thread to tell us you don't like lights you don't have
I still love my oracle backup lights and use them at night to hitch or load me car hauler.
They are on my third JT

I wired them so they come on in reverse, but also to an aux switch so I can use them with my truck off after dark when hooking up my car hauler or strapping a car down.
That's a great idea! How did you wire this so that you can use either aux switch or the standard reverse light?

The lights just run off power and ground. You’d just want to make sure everything is wired properly and routed cleanly. The standard install is tapping into the factory reverse light power if you're not using our plug-and-play harness. Our tech team would be the best resource if you have any specific questions! For the reverse LED lights in the reflector, do I need a wiring adapter for both sides (your site just says packages 1 for $38) or is the reverse light wire long enough to reach the opposite side?

I believe you just need one harness for the drivers side as the wires from the passenger side light pod are longer and stretch over to meet.

If you do need 2 plug-n-play harnesses, you will hear my scream from Alaska. I have mine sitting here in the box as I’ve been waiting to install them for a while as the weather is not cooperating.

But I should get them done in the next day or so and will report back about the install.

I've had mine in three Gladiators so far.
Correct, one harness - you can do either left or right tail light, I had it in the left on my first ones, and moved it to the right side for this one so I could run a wire and diode to operate them with an aux switch as well as being in reverse.

One "adapter harness", the two lights each have a pigtail, then a longer wire that runs across the back to reach which-ever tail light you choose.

Appreciate the confirmation!

Thanks. I found a youtube install video after posting and it appears that he ran the passenger side to the drivers side and only used one plug n play.
