Thanks I think I’ll just go a different route altogether since I’m going to have to push these out.

Word of advise… If you guys have known about a clearance issue with new RCV axles for a while now, you should really take down that note on your site, “Grease zerks are accessible with axle shafts installed even w / larger RCV shafts” kind of a crappy way to find out there are clearance issues after the fact.
Seeing a few issues and changing your website and user manuals seems slightly drastic. Validating the concerns and comparing to the percentage sold is a more reasonable approach and may not have warranted a change. Even more so if it was a slight change by another manufacture that may just be batch related…

Not saying it’s not a totally shit deal for you having to do quadruple work for some damn ball joints. And who knows maybe this topic is enough to change that.

I hear ya. I went with Synergy just waiting for them to come in to take everything apart again. Was going to go Dynatrac but 600-700 for ball joints seems excessive.

Not ragging on Teraflex just saying probably should put a disclaimer somewhere especially if they know of an issue.

All good you live and you learn.

Actually, I respectively would go 180* from your statement. I don't have the "how many it takes data" to act on customer inquiries / complaints, but good companies after hearing some issues with their product will make notes either on their website or update instructions. Updates to websites take 5 mins to add a note.

Companies like Synergy actually changed and added 2 pages to their instructions (which is costly) with the words" It has come to our attention on some jeeps you need to grind the bracket to make our track bar fit properly".

I give Synergy a lot of credit to address this concern. I was part of the guys who had to trim to fit.

I installed my teraflex lower bjs 180° from the instructions to clear RCVs, but my RCVs are not going to be here for awhile so I installed the factory shafts for now... this required me to grease the joints, then remove the zerks and installed 1/4-20 set screws in their place. I also had to file down the top of the hump where the rearward zerks install. Not too big of a deal, but thought I would share my solution to my problem.

I am about to be in the same boat. NO RCV as of yet, but the ball joints and Reid knuckles are going in tomorrow. @Chance_P should I just throw them in for the stock axles and then re fit later or do what you did?

I took out the Teraflex ball joints and put in a set of Dynatrac…you def get what you pay for. Very, very well made. I should’ve gone with them to begin with but you live and you learn.

Teraflex should’ve put a disclaimer or remove the statement that they work with RCVs from the site (It’s a few lines of code that need to be removed or added, nothing big) instead of trying to blame RCV. I reached out to RCV and they confirmed nothing has changed to the boot diameter or thickness. I’ve had a few issues with Teraflex products in the past but this is the last time I use their products. Again not knocking the ball joints the seem well made. Just tired of Teraflex in general.

I installed them with the lower zerks facing out, to accommodate the rcvs. Removed the zerks after greasing and installed set screws to keep debris out. Slight filing was required as well, but nothing major. Factory shafts work no problem after that.

So yeah @TeraFlex you should put a disclaimer somewhere on your site that your HD ball joints don’t play nice with RCVs…

The tops of the ball joints are eating away at the RCV and there is zero room to grease them too.
I’ve learned that everything terrorflex is garbage and pretty gimmicks. Give any of there stuff time and it will become apparent. Just like singery and every bolt they make stripping out with time.
Chinese garbage.
